After figuring out how to calibrate it this meter is quite accurate and is easily used. The temperature function has limited use for me because it only measures in centigrade . I’m sure that works well for the people in Europe where it’s manufactured but has limited use in the U.S.After using this instrument I’ve discovered that it doesn’t stay calibrated and the readings fluctuate making it a poor choice. I replaced it with a 15$ device that I purchased at a local big box store. The new device does a better job at about a tenth of the cost.

Great PH meter, I wish it had a stand so it could sit in the solution while it’s not in use. A little bit of a pain to calibrate, and only reads temps in Celsius, but it has good accuracy.

I've had two other brands of pH meters, with unacceptable results. I've done research at a National Laboratory, and we used meters ranging in price from $500-3,000, so am familiar with the great, and so-so units. For my brewing, cider and mead making, I wanted a temperature compensating device with probes, so I didn't have to look at the display in steaming wort. The MW102 is a great performer for the money, and can quickly give an accurate pH reading in a few seconds, and the temperature probe compensates a wide range of temperatures, so I don't have to go to tables to get the correct results vs temperature. I also like how well the unit stays accurate....sometimes for a month or more of regular use. The calibration is fast, and easy to perform. I only use the pH 4, and 7 calibrations for my uses, and the entire calibration takes about 2 minutes. A couple of suggestions if you get this; make a square/round base for the little probe storage bottle, so it doesn't tip over when you're using the probe, and get a couple silicone O-rings or bands to hold the temp probe and pH meter together, when measuring.....it's a lot easier than dangling two separate probes into a solution. And always store your pH probe in the solution, otherwise it'll go bad quickly.
