Similar to a chopped salad at Subway! I searched for awhile comparing to the other choppers that were more expensive and I was so happy that this budget friendly version EXCEEDED my expectations. It’s a staple in my kitchen.

I cook at home all the time and chopping, as most cooks know, is something i'd be willing to pay someone else to do for me. And this is that someone else now. I replaced the other little chopper gadgets with this since I got it.At first I wasn't too impressed, it seemed like it was too heavy and the blased too wide apart to get the chopping/mincing I was hoping to use this for. Oh, I can admit it when I was wrong, and was I ever?I use it for just about anything and everything I need minced or finely chopped. Even for onions - I slice them, leave them on the cutting board and go to town with this guy. They end up being so tiny that it's greatly improved the taste and texture of my ground meat/mushroom dishes.Garlic - just peel'em, and chop with this guy.Taco or fajita night? Peppers - I get the small peppers, clean them out and leave them whole on the chopping board, and this guy works wonders!Parsley/Cilantro/other herbs - there is nothing else that can chop them as perfectly (fine or a bit larger) than this one.I don't recommend using it for tomatoes though, or at least, it's easier to use my knife for me on those. But everything else - yes.You will not be disappointed!!

This product help me tremendously, Now Ican chop my salad. The only draw back is that my salad gets stuck between the blades and I have to cautiously remove it. I’m also cautious when I clean it and replace the blade covers.

We are on a low carb diet so we used to go to Subway and get their chopped salad. We really liked them, but we did feel sorry for the employee that had to stand there and chop up a couple of salads. Subway went back to the normal (unchopped salads). We were talking about how much we liked the chopped salads and that we wanted to make them at home. Did a bit of searching and found this. Quite similar to what they used at Subway.We've done chopped salads a couple of times. It is a bit of a work out, but not too bad. This does a great job of chopping the salad without turning it into much. Easy to use, nice blade protectors which help us safely store it. It has been easy to clean. Listing says it can go in the dishwasher, but I prever not to put sharp blades in the dishwasher. It comes clean easily if you clean it right away. Stainless steel comes clean easily.We want to be eating more vegetables and this is helping us meet that goal. We really like it!

This mezzaluna feels very well made, but the blade covers could be vastly improved. It is difficult to put the covers back on the blades, and I'm really nervous about getting cut. I would prefer a single cover that would cover both blades and not require extreme precision to line things up. Maybe a magnetic cover could be useful, or one made of silicone?The pros are that the handle is very comfortable and the price is affordable.
