Not super high quality but for the price you cannot really expect any more, and the design is great so for the size it is not an issue.Spring enhanced worm screw so it has no real 'slack' - nice and secure hold. Attaches easily to benchtop and for small items it works fine. It is small, but that is the point - it is for working on smaller pieces that a larger vice is not practical for.I dropped a star as it is not super strong - you do not want to over tighten on something hard, and the grip is just flat - no 'teeth' or any sort of friction grip. For the price though (~$A25) and size, super handy and good value.

I like this mini bench vice. Just remember it is mini. The jaws only open to about 35mm wide. For holding things steady for soldering or other intricate duties it should be okay to act as an extra hand. It’s made solidly and things don’t wobble when clamped down.
