Unless you like being stranded on the side of the road, you probably carry an extra tube and/or a patch kit and something to inflate the tire with. Until recently, the alternatives for inflation were compact pump (bulky and vary hard to use to inflate to high pressures) or CO2 cartridges. CO2 cartridges are compact but can only be used once (so how many do you carry?) and control is tricky - inflating to the right pressure is a bit of a guess and if you have smaller tires (like on many recumbents) the chance of exploding a tire is very real. You also have to be careful about freeze burn. Now there is a third option - compact electric pump and this device is an example.Physically it is a bit bigger than the CO2 option (depending on how many spare cartridges you carry) with less flexible use of tight space in a small bike bag.It works as both pressure gauge and automatic pump. There are three presets but unfortunately I found no way to adjust the presets so if you use high pressure tires since the preset for "Bike" is 45psi, you will always have to manually adjust by a lot.It comes with two valves. A compact one that can be Schrader or Presta. There were two problems with this: 1. it would not fit on tires with limited space between spokes and/or a smaller wheel. 2. It did not hold well on high pressure tires (it blew off the tire at 80psi enroute to 120psi). The alternative is a short connector that is Schrader but with a Presta adapter included. This takes up more room in your tool kit but worked fine on even tight tire spaces and did not blow off the tire.On a full charge (USB-C), it was able to inflate a 700c tire to 80psi (when it blew off) and a 20" tire to 110psi with 1 "bar" of charge left. It does charge quickly and I generally carry a spare battery with me so even if this was not sufficient, waiting for it to recharge from my battery is still faster than walking to a bike shop for another CO2 cartridge.Note: This is LOUD and after filling first tire I got an "EoP" error on the display when I went to fill the second tire. This is not documented in the manual but I think it must be an overheat warning or something as in a few minutes it worked fine.I can't yet speak to longevity or durability yet. but so far so good.Overall: With more precision and flexibility than CO2, I think this will replace it in my bike bag.

The battery in this thing as so small that you can only air up one bicycle tire before the battery dies. It would work great for topping up you bike tires though.

Got this pump for my grandson to use for his basketball and bike. Easy for him to use and very accurate. Digital display so you just set the PSI your bike tire or ball needs and the pump shuts off when it reaches that PSI. Nice and small to carry around when going to the playground.

I was pleasantly surprised by this bike air pump, which claims to be "palm-size" but actually feels a bit chunky due to its solid construction. It's not necessarily heavy, but it's heavier than I expected for a device of its size. The biggest drawback is the bag that comes with it - it's just too small to hold everything comfortably. The pump itself fits neatly in the bag, but the extra accessories and attachments make you struggle to keep everything organized and contained.Despite this minor quibble, I've been thoroughly impressed with the pump's performance. It delivers a whopping 130PSI of pressure, which is more than enough for even the largest bike tires or heavy balls. The digital pressure gauge is accurate and easy to read, making it simple to get your bike or ball inflated to just the right level. One thing to note is that this pump can be a bit loud when in use - not excessively so, but definitely noticeable if you're planning to use it indoors or in close proximity to others. That being said, its performance more than makes up for any minor drawbacks.Overall, I'd highly recommend this bike air pump to anyone looking for a reliable and powerful portable inflator. While it might be a bit heavier and bulkier than expected, its capabilities far outweigh its size. Just be prepared for the possibility of needing a slightly larger storage bag!

Exactly what I needed for those roadside emergencies. The worst feeling is when I get a flat on my bike and instead of carrying a large manual bike pump this one is a great size. It fits in my backpack for those kind of events. It is pretty loud but I don't mind as long as it does the job. Its still holding to its original first charge and since I only use it when I have a flat the charge can last for a while. I'm still working with the correct psi but right now its trial by error. Great product.

Updated review: this has just not been working for me. I can’t figure out why. If it’s user error, come on, this is a pump and every other one I’ve ever used is simple and straightforward. I tried pumping up a ball yesterday and it just deflated the ball, even though I had the desired PSI set plenty high enough. End of story: I threw this away—Initial review: I’ve got a couple of these rechargeable pumps and I was excited to try this one because of it’s so compact and lightweight. But compared to the other (bigger) ones I have, this one pumps slowly and is rather loud. It worked on some bike tires but I couldn’t get it to fit on others. The battery drained down relatively quickly too. I plan to keep this in my gym bag for pumping up basketballs but will take my slighter bigger, heavier but more dependable pump on rides with me and for regular use.

this handheld portable air pump is great! its very compact your child can keep it in their bookbag or pocket on bike rides just incase of an accidental flat on their ride. the display screen is easy to see and read. easy to operate (easy enough my kids use it) this has come in handy more than once already with the kids and im sure we will be using it quit often! the accuracy of psi reading seems to be pretty on point which doesn't leave you second guessing if there is enough air to little air or to much..
