The quality of my work monitors improved significantly by using this cable over the VGA cable they came with. This cable is a must have if using old monitors that don’t support DP.

Although the cable and the connectors look excellent, it does not deliver the signal to the monitor. I tried it on several systems, it is either no connection at all (no picture, no signal) or unstable flaky picture or noise like on the old analog TV

Works great. I know this is supposed to be digital and the VGA port is analog. I guess digital is supposed to be better. I can't say I see a difference over the VGA port. But I'm also not using a super duper big monitor that would show the difference.It works and the price was great.

I was always under the impression that digital cables either work or don't work. A more expensive one is not better than a cheaper on like Analog cables. Used this to connect my Mac mini to my HP2710 display. For some reason any connection to the HDMI port on the monitor cause an overscan issues and there was no setting that could be changed either in the Display setting of the mac or the on screen display setting of the monitor. As soon as I used this cable to connect to the DVI port instead of the HDMI everything showed up perfectly on the monitor. Very please for $6, and its white which goes with the Mac motif.

Perfect, I run into a lot of Mini Displayport cables and converters that have the sleeve come loose and you have to push with the cable after that. This one is molded on very well. Gold connectors and the DVI end is dual link, although I did not try any resolutions above HD. I'll have to give 120hz a try and see if it works. It does have the Dual Link Pins so its a good sign. Gold Plated.

This cable works great.I ordered this because I was having an issue wheee my Mac Mini would not allow me to play music through my optical out when the HDMI was plugged in even though I had the software switch to digital out. So I am now using this cable to go from my mini display port to DVI and it solved my problem. Thanks.

I got this cable to solve a particular problem. My Mac Mini won't play sound through my TV/monitor. this wasn't so much of a problem until my speakers started faulting. I'd lose a channel at random, or all sound for a while. It was maddening.This option allowed me to run the sound from the au into my monitor to get the video to play through the TV speakers. It worked great. workes great. :)
