There is a "manual" with this item, but it is super limited. It just has precautions on using the product and cleaning it. There are no donut recipes and no specific instructions on how to use this to make donuts, i.e. batter amount, baking time, etc. The product box also says "sandwich maker," which I found interesting. At this point, I am going to try and find a recipe online. And then I will be guessing on long to bake/cook the batter. I think the price is too high for what you receive, especially with no real details or information on how to make donuts in this donut maker.

This didn't come with any recopies like a lot of these types of things normally include, but it does work really well.The Non-stick coating works perfectly, we didn't use any cooking spray and no doughnuts stuck at all. Like almost all doughnut makers, this one also seems to cook the bottom more than the top, but this one actually does it to less of a degree than many of them. The popular solution to this is to cook your doughnuts almost all the way, then flip them in the machine. We only needed to flip some of them... I think if we took too long fiddling with getting the batter into the machine the bottoms get cooked too much before we close it.We used a squeeze bottle to get the batter into the doughnut machine, but when it was almost out, it didn't work so well... it got too much air in it and could not push out the last doughnut of batter. I think it would work better to put the batter into a plastic bag, cut the corner off, and squish it out the hole in the corner, that way you could get it right where you want it, and just keep pushing it out as you go.Overall, I think this a great machine! It has 2 lights on it, a red one that just comes on when it's plugged in and a green one when it is hot enough for your doughnuts. The green on will come on as the doughnuts cook but is not any indication of when they are done... it just means the heaters came on again. It takes about 3 minutes to fully cook the doughnuts.Since no recipes came with it, here's the recipe I used for Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts:1 cup all-purpose flour¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder½ teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon baking soda⅛ teaspoon salt1 large egg½ cup granulated sugar½ cup milk¼ cup vanilla yogurt2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted½ teaspoon pure vanilla extractMix the egg, milk, yogurt butter, vanilla, salt and sugar in a bowl.Mix in all the dry ingredients.Put batter into doughnut machineCook for 3 minutesRemove Doughnuts place on a wire rack to coolFor the Glaze:1 cup powdered sugar3 tablespoons heavy cream¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract¼ teaspoon saltVERY IMPORTANT: Heat the cream in the microwave for 20 seconds... it need to be very warm, almost hot.just whisk everything together and dunk doughnuts in glaze on only one side then place on wire rack to drip off excess. Wait for the glaze to harden.Enjoy The Doughnuts!

This machine is a bit rattly, but it works just fine. The shapes are on the shallow side, so the donuts are a bit thin (a cross section of the ring would be a flattened oval, not a circle), which being full-size in diameter. They don’t quite fit what I’m looking for in a donut shape, but they aren’t too far off (and much closer than the mini donuts that most current machines make).

Works as it should. The outside is definitely cheap but the inside is non stick and works well. I do wish it had an on and off button rather than just being on if it’s plugged in but it heats quickly and makes delicious donuts that don’t stick so no mess! I want to mention this is a full size donut maker these are not mini donuts.
