I got this heat basically to use it for one thing, heat shrinking wires, and it does the job well. As part of my hobby building fpv drones, I'm splicing small wires or making connectors. Before getting this heat gun, I was using my big heat that looks like hair dryer for these small jobs. Not only was it overkill, it was hard to direct the heat to a small space.This heatgun has one simple three position switch, low-off-high. The fan speed changes with the setting, meaning it blows harder when set to high. I appreciate that this has a shroud over the nozzle so I don't have to worry about it burning anything when I set the heat gun down.I also want to state that I had to contact the seller with an issue. They got back to me quickly, were very polite and fixed my issue. Great customer service.If you're looking for a heat gun for small jobs, this one will do the trick. Recommended.

Not the most well constructed thing, cheap plastic housing really reduces my trust in this being something to keep on for extended periods of time. It works for short usage, though. I'm not always in need of a heat gun, so didn't need anything high end, but if you're some who works with small electronics regularly or someone in need of a reliable heat gun, probably don't go with this.

What I really like about this heat gun is that it is very easy to use and all you do is plug it in and click the button and it’s a one mode heat gun, so there is no toggling with any temperature or anything, you just click it on and then you just use the heat gun. I do candle-making as a hobby, and I was really wanting a heat gun to help with some bubbles that were rising at the top of wax when I was making and pouring candles. A little trick is to use the heat gun and evenly melt the top layer of wax and let the bubbles rise up and out, which is what I was trying to do and it works completely perfect with this heat gun. I like this heat gun also has a little stand that it can lay horizontally on when you put it down so that it doesn’t burn you or the surface that you lay it on. I like the color gray it comes in, and it resembles the color prime grey in person; and I really like the quality of the outer covering/casing that acts as a great protecting cover that does not get hot even though it is made of a hard durable plastic; it’s really great quality and it stays cool to the touch. What I also really like about this heat gun is that the plug-in cord that it operates off of has a really good link to it so you won’t have to be really close to an outlet when you’re doing your projects or using the gun, it gives you a good amount of length so You’re able to stay a decent distance from the parking if this is not rechargeable, and it runs on plug-in AC outlet.There really isn’t anything that I don’t like about the heat gun, I like the color I like the quality of the heat that it puts out and I like that the plastic is made very durable and with really great quality materials.Overall, I am so happy I did get this heat gun, it is helping me with my hobby of candlemaking and along my candles to come out more presentable, and look more appealing to others. I will recommend this heat, going to all my family and friends, and to anyone that’s looking for an arts and crafts tool as a heat, gun or heat gun for candlemaking and smoothing out your wax, or even bodywork from what it says that you could use it for you on the back of the package and if you’re looking to have a good quality heat gun to help you out with your autobody decals, or candle making accessories,then I would also recommend this to you too.

Great heat gun though I do wish that it came with some swappable nozzles. I use this for 3d prints to help remove any strings that might be around and also for electronics to help desolder. The desoldering part is where I wish I could have some of the swappable nozzles to get a narrower stream of targeted hot air to the components without melting the solder of the other components around what I am targeting. Heats up really quickly and has variable air flow control though!
