It arrived in complete disarray, the motor cover was crooked and the belt was off/gears misaligned so it kept flying off.Instructions show a different lathe completely and references "included" parts and accessories that are not in the package. No accessories really. Out of the box you can't do anything with the tailstock but use the pre-installed live center, and even though it includes 2 more centers (the only added accessories) there's no way to use them, the pre installed one is attached to the bearing and threaded cap and there's no compatibility to connect the mini lathe tailstock accessories. The 3 jaw chuck can hardly be opened because there are only a few millimeters clearance between the chuck and the bed, so if you open the chuck even to 50% capacity, the jaws stick out too far and hit the bed so it would not turn.Instructions claim you can raise the chuck, tailstock and with included intermediate accessory but that part didn't come in the box. So you can raise the chuck and tailstock, although it's no longer attached to the T track on the bed and in this configuration is only stabilized by the steel mending plate things on the back, which is worrisome, but at least now the chuck can open.BUT, there's no way to raise the tool post in this configuration or put any cutting tool in the tailstock so good luck turning your piece when you can't bring any parting tool close enough to make contact with the workpiece.Speaking of parting tools, it comes pre installed with one pre ground tool that is not a normal size, and held in place by awkward flimsy plastic clips that wont fit any standard tools so none of my tools can be used.If and when you succeed in actually being able to theoretically cut anything, the tool skips around like crazy and the motor gets insanely hot. Like dangerously so, after a short time, with a good cutting fluid. And that's without even trying to cut any hard metals. The machine has a stamped email address for support requests, I'm assuming everyone who buys this needs to talk to the company to try to get it to work at all, so stamping it may be a time saver... but here's the rub, THE COMPANY DOESN'T RESPOND TO SUPPORT EMAILS.Not worth buying, seriously get something else. Returning.

This the first lathe I've ever owned, so it took me a bit to realize that it's the lathe that doesn't keep the spindle centered. I was thinking it was either the ring mandrel I bought or me, but after buying another mandrel, I now know it's the lathe. I'll be contacting the company I bought from. We'll see how their customer service is.
