I've been doing miniature build for a long time, and only recently became interested in what I would call "micro-builds". This one was just too cute to pass up.As a rule, the smaller the ratio of a miniature build and the greater the perceived detail, the more complicated the build. This one is going to be no exception. Pretty much everything except the bears and tree need to be built. Because this is a kit meant for miniature enthusiasts with a great deal of experience here is less step by step hand holding in the instructions. This is a kit for those who like to take their time, and immerse in the details of the build.I expect this kit to take no less than 20 hours. I plan on doing it an hour or two a sitting as I find time on weekends and after work. The details of the components are exceptional. The two bears are each no bigger than my pinky fingernail...and I'm a small woman! I have my own tools however I am impressed that this kit comes with some fairly good quality tools that include scissors, tweezers, a small craft blade, and a ruler. It also came with some mystery glue with only Chinese writing on the label. I never use the glue that comes with these kits. I prefer to substitute with an appropriate wood glue or one of the Aleene's Tacky Glue varieties as these are low or no fumes and non-toxic. It can be found here on Amazon, and when in doubt I usually use the 3 in 1 version. It is safe around pets (especially birds) and any people who may have sensitive lungs. You will also need batteries for the lighting.Good lighting and something hands free to magnify will also be a must. For those with great eye sight a decent pair of "cheaters" will do for magnification. I work under a lighted magnifying loop on a stand for these. This kit also comes with a cute bear theme wood stand to display your finished miniature scene.A very well put together kit with a lot of beauty and detail packed into a small space. I'm very excited to get started on this one and will try to update with photo of my finished project. If you have the skills and are up or a challenge I do recommend this kit.

The little cherry blossom miniature I ordered is super unique and perfect for miniature enthusiasts. It is fun also to do with someone else. The little scenery and overall look of this is so cute.

The finished dollhouse is super cute. However, the assembly process was quite frustrating. The pieces are extremely tiny, making glue application very difficult. I ended up making several messy mistakes trying to keep everything aligned and properly attached. While the end result is charming, be prepared for a tedious build process that requires patience and steady hands.

This review is for the "Cherry Blossoms in the Dreamland" from the "Box Theatre" tinplate dollhouse line that isn't currently in the options for this listing (see photos).I'm not new to building little miniature houses and booknook kits, but this is the first time I've ever done one of these teeny tiny tin builds and I had a good time building it!When I say that it's miniature I mean SUPER TINY, so I would recommend it for more advanced builders! It did take me awhile to build this and it definitely requires a lot of patience, but I honestly enjoyed the challenge. All the pieces were included and are made from materials such as wood, plastic and paper without any printing errors. I like that the paper pages were included within the instruction booklet. Do keep in mind that this set doesn't have stickers so you need to cut out the paper by hand. Definitely get a hobby knife with a cutting mat and/or detail scissors! The instructions were pretty easy to follow. I didn't have any issues with the wiring either, which I often need help with. Since it's so small there were a lot of bits that were fiddly but I loved how it turned out.I didn't like that this doesn't come with the tiny batteries needed to power the lights. It probably makes it easier to ship but they aren't really something I keep on hand.Overall though this was an enjoyable build!Other tools I'd recommend for this kit are: detail tweezers, toothpicks, detail scissors and/or a hobby knife, craft glue (for things like paper),more silicone glue (precision tip ideally) and if you're old like me your readers and/or magnifying headset!

This kit is fairly well designed and I like the unique theme. I've seen artists create their own using old Altoid tins, but this is the first kit I've come across. It's very tiny, so if you're not into working with micro-sized pieces, this may not be for you. If you get a standing magnifier and do the assembly under the glass, it's doable. The tin is made of thick metal and measures 5.5 x 3.1 x 1 inches when closed. There's a lot of teeny images to cut out and glue onto other pieces. I wish more of the pieces came prepainted with the imagery. The instructions are easy to understand, have full color real photos, and paper pieces to cut out in the back pages. The kit includes glue, scissors, cutter, ruler, lighting unit, and a wooden, cat shaped stand to hold the finished tin. It's unpainted, light color wood, and just 2 pieces to join together. This is a fun project and would make a cute gift that's best suited for ages 12 and over.
