RULER ALONG SIDES
- The left side of MiniComp features a ruler in inches, while the right side features a ruler in centimeters. These rulers can be used to determine approximate distances on a map.

This compass rotates well in its holder and seems pretty true to north. Also the ring to attach it to your coat does not interfere with its function, so that is good.... A lot of the metal key rings will.

Effectively doesn't work. Suggests South East is South West. Sometimes it changes a bit, unable to consistently, or accurately, point North.

It's so light and compact that you forget it's there until you need it. It is accurate. Don't put it through the laundry on purpose, but if it happens by accident it doesn't harm it.

This is a great backup compass.I always carry two compasses when I go into the woods. This is just the right size to hook on the outside zipper of my coat.I will have to see how it works in the winter at -30.

It's good for basic cardinal directions. It's not good for nor was it meant to be an orienteering compass. It is good for its intended purpose

The only mini compass I have found that's actually accurate. I tried finding something similar in my local shops and came away with cheaper but totally inaccurate compasses. I use it when I simply want to orient my map on city streets. Great purchase and worth it.

I love these little compasses (compi?). I’ve been buying them for years - clipping them to backpacks and adding them to different keychains. I ALWAYS have one handy. And you better believe that they are just as handy on a hiking trail as they are in the city or on a road trip.In my opinion, these are the most accurate compasses at this small size. Buying and using compasses such as these for over twenty years, I have never found a smaller compass that is anywhere near as accurate as these. These are the best!The only downside is that these compasses are easy to “misplace”. Hard to believe but it’s true. So, buy them by the handful. Buy them as gifts for friends. Just buy them. (Note: I refer to them in the plural because I don’t buy them singly. I do buy them in small batches.)

This is my primary backup compass when I am navigating by map and compass. I wear it on a string around my neck and know that it will be there if I need it. Not super easy to read, due its small size, but it is accurate and a great value for the money.

I bought two of these mini compasses, and liked them so much that I bought two more so that my wife and I could keep one attached to each of our two packs. We are delighted with them! Easy to read, even without putting on reading glasses. Very lightweight. Easy to attach to a pack via the split ring. It's nice to quickly glance at the compass without having to dig it out of some place in the pack. Adventure Outdoor Products stands behind their products. One of the four compasses stopped working after a couple of weeks (including hiking down to Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, and back up a couple of days later). They apologized for the inconvenience and immediately sent a replacement. Wonderful company.
