It arrived in a plastic bag with no other packaging, instructions, etc. But I wasn't too concerned, since it's pretty simple. In spite of the fact that the information page states no batteries are needed, it obviously does need batteries, which I tired to install. However the battery terminal strips were assembled incorrectly, making it impossible to add batteries. I flipped the connecting strip so I could at least try it out, but even after installing the batteries, it did not work at all.
