As we saw during development of our 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 5. 7L V8 baffled oil catch can kit, the 5. 7L Hemi produces a huge amount of blow-by. That blow-by contains oil, fuel, and water vapors that coat your engine’s intake components and degrade the quality of the fuel it burns. Over time, the effects of blow-by can grow to the point of causing misfires and destroying sensors. But just like its predecessor, Nishimoto has a solution to save your 2019+ Dodge Ram 1500 5. 7L Hemi from the effects of blow-by. Our direct-fit baffled oil catch can kit redirects blow-by away from your intake and into our catch can where harmful oil, fuel, and water vapors are filtered out. Inside our catch can a set of air tabulators help disrupt and slow incoming crankcase gases. Then, a perforated baffle acts as a condensing point for vapors and prevents any liquid from exiting the can. Before the crankcase gases are returned to the intake, our 50-micron sintered bronze filter removes any remaining particles to ensure that only clean air returns to your intake. All of this helps your engine run longer, cleaner, and more efficiently. Like our other direct-fit oil catch can kits, installation of our 2019+ Dodge Ram 1500 5. 7L catch can requires no cutting or drilling and fits with your stock engine bay components. Amazon indicates that product does not fit 2021 Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI eTorque, but it DOES fit. Mishimoto web page provides the same part number. Mishimoto and youtube have few installation video clips. Disconnecting the original hose took me about 15 min, but the rest was smooth. Mishmoto's catch can comes with more thick hoses and the hardware is not cheap. Hope it will protect the engine and expand the lifespan.

photo of about 400 miles of driving on a '21 Ram 1500 5.7 (with about 98k miles). Without the can that would be going in the intake manifold. Ran Seafoam cleaner through the intake and gave the old Hemi a fresh start with the catch can hopefully keeping the next 100k through the intake cleaner.

Mishimoto really knows how to engineer a product. The mounting bracket on this can is easy to mount and easy to drain. It is very secure. The can on this system holds almost 8 ounces of oil, which should be enough to get you through from one oil change to the next. Competitors products only hold a few ounces of oil and need to be emptied between oil changes. The hoses are pre-formed so that they provide a stress-free connection. This can is a bit more expensive than the most popular brand, but this one is sooooo much better.

Looked and have owned several different catch cans over the years and decided on a Mishimoto set up for the ram. Everything fit well and bracket looks at home in its mounting location. Only thing that could be a little better is some different clamps for the price but all in all 15 min install. Will update later on after next oil change on effectiveness.

You get what you pay for and this is a very well made and brilliantly engineered oil catch can. My buddy has a different brand/make and he has some oil residue in the output hose. The Mishimoto on my Ram: None. Zero. Bone dry. Thus, it's doing its job and no blow-by is being recirculated into the intake. I empty it at about 50% oil life and usually get 2-4 oz of oil from it. Works as it should.

I installed this 2 weeks ago by myself in my garage. Installing the can and hoses themselves was very easy and straight forward. The biggest struggle is removing the old hose from the intake. My truck only had 13k miles on it and the hose was already sealed on to a point where I had to cut it off. Then the engine cover is a pain to reinstall. But the product is great! After only 2 weeks, there was already a significant amount of oil collected. I'm so happy I bought this! The can and hoses could easily pass for original factory parts. It does work with the S&B cold air intake, but it does make the inlet hose is a bit tight for my liking. Not a big enough issue though. I highly recommend this product!

Nice catch can for my 2019 RAM. Works to keep oil out of the throttle body and gunking it up. A little pricey, but machining on this is quality.
