The Mishimoto transmission cooler boasts a 67% greater core volume, and 164% greater fin surface area than the stock 2017-2019 L5P Duramax transmission cooler. Just installed this by myself. I'm not a mechanic. I was confused at first because I was expecting similar stile cooler, but after I realized where it supposed to go, I installed it fairly quickly. I love the new placement, I think it's better there and it's more protected from a road debris. Also I want to apologize to the Mishimoto customer rep for being rude to him.

The install on my 2019 GMC Denali 3500 HD was relatively simple, it took three hours. No troubles, fitment was good and simple. Haven’t done any heavy towing since installing however, the position and size of the new cooler for the transmission would make sense that it would be a much needed and valuable upgrade to the trucks towing capabilities.
