About this item

  • Extra Strength -- Instead of soft carbon steel that strips out easily, we crafted our flange wrench with Stainless Steel. Utilize this tool to handle the insane amount of torque needed to get the job done
  • Compatible With -- Our pinion yoke wrench is compatible with most Ford, AMC, Dana, and GM yokes. Fits almost all pinion and companion flanges. There are multiple slotted bolt patterns for 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" fasteners. The center socket hole is 2"
  • Holds The Yoke In Place -- Use the pinion wrench while applying torque. It will help you loosen even the most stubborn pinion nuts. For leverage, grab a 1/2” breaker bar or 3/4” drive tool
  • Tighten Up -- Use the pinion flange tool with a torque wrench to tighten retaining bolts and nuts. Or for setting the bearing pre-load. It can also handle other high torque tasks, like crush sleeves
  • Additional 1/2" Square Socket -- Other yoke flange wrenches only have one and round out over time. The problem is, for tight spaces, you might need multiple. To address this, we added an extra 1/2" square socket. Plus, our stainless steel will prevent any rounding. You'll be able to utilize your pinion depth setting tool for years

Made of thick quality (hardened) metal. Did not work for Ford 8.8 without slight modification with dremel.

The building quality is excellent!!! I used it with my 3/4 drive breaking and it held up and didn't distort in any way whatsoever. I highly recommend this to all mechanics out there.

Purchased this product to do a pinion on an f150. I had to modify it heavily as none of the slots fit the bolt pattern. Also the material appears to be a carbon steel, not stainless or tool steel.

Used this when I was cleaning, inspecting and re-sealing the 9 Inch differential in the rear of my 1979 F-150. I had the differential out of the truck when I used but it could be used while under the truck if a person wanted to. With the differential on my garage floor, I attached this yoke plate, inserted my 1/2" breaker bar so it was braced against the garage floor and was able to torque the pinion nut to the proper setting. Much easier than when I torqued the pinion on the front differential and didn't have this tool and had to torque with the differential installed in the truck and on the ground.

Used this tool to hold the yolk still on my Ram 2500 with AAM front axel, to remove the pinion nut for a pinion seal R & R. It has multiple bolt patterns to affix it to many yolks. Also 3 different locations for breaker bars to seat in it to hold everything still. Two are 1/2" and one 3/4". You could leave your tires on the ground to hold the yolk just fine. But.......On most jobs, prior to pinion nut removal, tires and wheels have to come off, and get an inch pound torque reading of resistance turning the yolk and diff assembly. As well, the re-install required many small incremental adjustments in tightening the pinion nut to the proper spec, by continually rechecking inch pound resistance turning the pinion also with the wheels/tires off. This tool was a must to accomplish that without constantly taking wheels on and off, and worked perfect. Small price to pay for the HUGE help it is. Seems to be a tough piece of steel and does the job.
