After much trial, error and Amazon returns, I finally got this keyboard iPad case. I have been able to go 2 1/2 moths without needing to charge it and I use it all day every day. I LOVE that it doesn’t have a ridiculous mousepad (WHY would I need this for a tablet??). Can’t speak to the longevity of it just yet, but past keyboard cases I’ve purchased usually last about a year. The light purple color is very pretty, my 10 inch iPad fits perfectly and it opens/closes/turns easily while also staying where you want it. It also has a mute button which some don’t. It pairs easily, the backlight is great and I like that they keys are white as it makes them easier to see. Trust me when I say, I’ve dedicated a lot of time and money to finding the perfect keyboard case and this is it!

I read a review where the reviewer wrote that the keyboard is not responsive enough for his/her speed. However, I took a chance on this item and I like it. The keys are soft and responsive to gentle finger pressure. Never had to press any key twice. The layout of the Keys’s are standard for this size of keyboard. Well spaced and not cramped.The connection via Bluetooth to my iPad was a breeze and stayed connected. Never lost connection turning the keyboard OFF and ON. The back-light comes in 7 colors. Green, cyan, torquise, blue, white, purple, red, and not necessary in this sequence. The external skeleton seems to be made of hardened plastic but light in weight. The case seems it will last. The texture is a bit rough for a firm grip.Cannot say much about the battery life but it seems it will last.The light goes OFF after 60 seconds of idling [timed].It fits my 2nd generation iPad snugly. It is also well priced amongst the competition. One area I will like some modification, is the ability to change the idling time before the light goes OFF. In my case, I will like to reduce the current factory set idling time from 60 seconds to 20 seconds after which the backlight goes off. This will save additional battery time.And for those who want the backlight to stay ON longer before it goes OFF , they can equally increase the idling time to their desire.I have a ZAGG backlit keyboard I bought in 2015 for my first generation iPad, that battery goes up to 6 months before it needs recharging with normal use. How ZAGG achieved that fit is a marvel to me to this day.Unfortunately and perhaps due to laws of capitalism, that model is no longer in stock. I hope this MMK brand of iPad case with backlit keyboard equally serves me that long for my 2nd generation iPad as the ZAGG brand continues to work for my 1st generation iPad.Update 02/26/2021:It has a silicon slip [pics #1 and #5] that covers the keyboard.This acts as a protective layer between the Keyboard and the iPad screen when it is folded in a closed position.This prevents the keys of the keyboard from printing on the iPad screen.However, as an added protection I have placed a Super Shieldz screen protector over the iPad screen.The silicon cover of the keyboard does not affect the responsiveness of the keys when typing.This is excellent!
