The socks are very soft and comfortable. You don't feel any wires or elements and they would be awesome socks on their own. At first the batteries seemed quite large and I thought they would pull the socks down but they didn't. After a while I didn't even notice the extra weight. I have a plow on my four wheeler and at first I just cleared my own driveway and my aunt's house down the street. Over the last few years more of my elderly neighbors have noticed and asked for help. I now plow 7 driveways and walks and a small church parking lot. So I'm out for about 5-7 hours per snow event depending on how much we get and how heavy it is. We had a recent cold snap where temperatures were in the single digits with wind chills below zero. Between my electric gloves and these socks I was able to stay out for most of the day with no problems. I also wear a snowmobile suit but the main issue has always been my hands and feet. Even on the highest setting the socks didn't get too hot and there were no hot spots either. These socks are pretty awesome and I'm glad I got them.

The batteries arrived with a mismatched charge, with one displaying 50% and the other completely empty. I charged both batteries overnight and gave them a shot the next day. Based on the other reviews, I was expecting very little heat, but that wasn't my experience. They definitely heat up (especially on the high setting), but for me the heat is mostly on the top of the foot and concentrated on the element which extends up to the toe-knuckles (not so much the toes themselves). At the highest setting, the heat where the element sits was borderline uncomfortable (feeling more like an itch than a burn). On the medium setting, the discomfort wasn't present and my feet were definitely warmer than they would otherwise be without the heating.

For heated socks they don't get very hot. But that is also a plus as over heating can cause sweating. I ride in the morning and when it's really cold you need good heated socks. These are just ok. The kept riding down due to the weight of the battery. I wear 9.5us size shoes and the socks fit my feet perfectly. I was just a little disappointed in the temp, as it can get below freezing in the mornings. At 40f these socks would work great. They hold a charge for a long time. Couple hours at the highest setting.

Winters in northern Michigan can be brutally cold. My feet are always cold, I can never get them to feel like they’re warmed up. I ordered these in hopes that these would keep my feet warm and make me more comfortable. Unfortunately, these are nothing but an ordinary pair of socks. You certainly cannot tell that they are heated at all. Whether indoors or outdoors, I truly can’t feel any heat coming from these. As an experiment, I wore them indoors with one battery on and one battery off. I could not tell which foot had the battery in it and which sock did not. Both feet were equally cold. And this was indoors so they certainly do not work outdoors.Another problem with them is at the top of the sock at the calf where the battery pocket is, there’s no button or Velcro to keep the battery pocket closed. As I was walking around outside, trying to bring in firewood on two occasions, I felt something and looked down and the battery was dangling at my feet. It slipped out of the pocket while I was walking. Fortunately I felt it before I lost the battery.I love the idea of these socks that I truly wish they worked. They need a lot of improvement however before I can give these any more than a two star rating.

I picked these up because I have poor circulation in my feet, hoping it would help alleviate the painful cold in the Michigan winters while i sat at my desk and worked.Wrong. I'm literally wearing them right now, decided to pop them on because my feet were cold. Likely a situation people will find themselves in, "Hey my feet are cold, I know I'll put on those fancy heated socks I got!"I can barely feel the heating element placed squarely on the top of each foot. My toes are still cold AF, the bottoms of my feet are chillled. It's terrible heat coverage.I really wanted these to work. Icharged the batteries for over 24 hours to make sure they had their best shot. I've been sitting in them on the highest setting for over an hour and the amount of "heat" is pathetic at best. I think the HotHands hand warmer beanbag thingies worked better and made mroe heat.I wouldn't even gift these.2 stars because the actual sock is good quality material, the battery backs have USB-C charging, and despite their best efforts, there is a tiny spot of heat being produced. Just nothing like you probably want which is full foot coverage, which that product photo sure would lead you to believe!Skip this one. Unless you have chronic top-of-foot, slight-coldness, then they might be perfect.

these work great, especially when your feet are freezing. they fit well and have a nice battery life. i love wearing them to bed, as that is when my feet are the most cold
