I recently got this modeling compound and found it to be quite fun to use. I did use it on canvas to get some layered texture for some paintings and really like the results. It doesn’t dry terribly quickly so it gives you time to work with the product. I was also able to sand it and then paint it and everything looked very nice. I also used it as a standalone product and found it worked pretty well for that usage. The texture is very nice. It does dry quickly, but definitely should plan on giving it a full day to fully

I got this to repair an old Tiki statue that I picked up in Hawaii several decades ago. Unfortunately, it split right down the middle of his face and body. I have been looking for something that I could fill the large crack in with, sand and paint it. It looks like I found the right stuff! I mixed together a small batch of this modeling compound to see how it worked and set up. It was easy to work, set up perfectly and was easy to sand.

I got this for my kids to do art projects this summer - outside. This is just basically joint compound without water, but you can make it as thick or thin as you would like. I haven't used it yet, but it does claim to dry without pores in it for easy painting.

This is the best modeling compound I've used. It has some elasticity so it doesn't break if it's bent, can be sanded down to smooth, and is lovely when painted. I'd recommend at least 24 hours to dry, more if you're a damp or cold area, but after that you're good to go.

I ordered to try a new medium. Product was easy enough to use & had I been experienced with the use of this product, my results would’ve been better.I liked the introduction to it & will likely order more to try again… I can see how it would be as versatile as your imagination

Easy to mix. Makes a great molding compound. Can become very thick. Build up the canvas easily. A very large amount so perfect for multiple projects. A good value for the price.

My wife is an artist and when she saw this modeling compound and the amazing creations on the product description page, she was very anxious to try it. She works mostly in 2-D but still thought she could create something cool. The modeling compound is super easy to mix and use, but from there it is up to you and your talents. My wife said she would have appreciated instructions to some sample projects in the box. Also, my wife used the modeling compound (about half of the ingredients) on an 8x10" canvas board, but said to truly get the volume she should have probably used all of it on an even smaller surface (the instruction sheet shows 4" height which my wife definitely did not reach). My wife sanded the piece once it was dry and painted on it but isn't thrilled with the results. I guess it's fine if you know what you're doing, but this is kind of pricey if you just want to try a new media.
