A typical grocery store garlic bulb would not fit in the hole. This is only for a couple of very small garlic bulbs. It’s looks nice but it’s not functional for me.

I love the design and look, but wish the pot was a bit bitter, it really only holds 2 balls of garlic and I usually have three or four in the kitchen.
