This is definitely my fault cause I didn't now all the different types of patch cable, but after going to mogami's website, I see there's a pure patch and a patch type of cable. The pure patch is the more economical version of the patch (gold tips). That means that the wires a little thinner than the more bulky mogami cables I had been buying. I highly doubt this affect sound quality (at least to any degree that I can hear) but I am worried about the longevity of this cabling. I'll likely replace these with the higher end version in a year or less, since I'm trying to sit and forget as many things as possible and I don't want to worry about degradation like I've had to worry with other cables. They still have solid build quality though!

After recommendations from Mogami team, pick up this cables for my Yamaha HS8. Initial impression is bright sounding in the vocals and better separation of instruments. Bass ears will hate this cables.

Would have been nice if gold flashed, however high quality as one expects with Mogami, especially at the weak-link RCA connector that varies widely among manufacturers. Went into a pulpit to bridge a Mackie preamp to 70V mono amplifier where problems would be immediate, embarrassing and noticed, and many months later has simply disappeared into a flawlessly operational system.

I picked up 2 of these cables directly from Music123 for home-studio work. For the price, I was expecting these cables to be thick and durable like Monster cables. Even the lower-rated Monster DJ cables I have seemed to be sturdier and more reliable.As for the sound , they're great. Nice and crisp with a great response.

For value, I give Mogami five stars - as genuine professional cables without the frills, they are audibly better cables than the usual hyper brand names that sell for many times the price. Thirty years after I started using Mogami I still cannot find a better cable value. Wire your entire system with them.
