These are a big hassle! Like others have said, the middle sinks which makes the decoys touch (very unnatural) , get tangled easily, bend and break, and become detached because of loose connections. My hunting partner has the motion ducks spreader and there is no comparison. I know they are more cash, but they are well worth it. I will be purchasing the motion ducks in the near future.

I hunt tidal marshes in southern Delaware. The water is deep in most places and the current is swift. I bought these because I thought they help me to quickly set up. I have hunted them a few times now and here are the pros and cons: Pros- overall set up and take down is relatively quick. When spread out the decoys are spaced nicely. Cons- durability is a major issue. Each time I have set up I have had one of the decoy clips crack off and I had to recover an escaped decoy. If it was only one then I would have chalked up to a single defective clip but it has happened several times now. In the end I removed the supplied clips and replaced them with large brass decoy clips from Cabelas. Also, the center plates have bent after a few uses. Setting up from shore is very difficult since the arms need to be spread individually. Where I hunt the bottom is mud and therefore not wadable. So, I either have to set decoys from the bank or from a boat. I can see how these spreaders would be good for shallow wadable water.

I have used these for a year now. Super lightweight for easy pack in. Makes the jerk rig look amazing and adds a lot of motion to the spread. Not sturdy enough to leave the decoys on here but the large clips make it easy to attach.

Once you get the arms spread and placed it works pretty well. I attached the 3 spreaders on a jerk line. The problem i had with it is deploying the spreaders and recovering them. The thin arms get tangled. The line gets tangled in the arms, and at 5:30 am in a boat in the dark it's a mess and very frustrating. I am going back to my DIY spreader made out of 1/2" CPVC pipe. Being able to lock the arms in place makes all the difference when deploying and recovering

Seeing up decoys is a breeze, I bought 3 and my buddy night 2, so we'll hook a couple together for a jerk rig or just drop them solo. Mix in a few singles and you have a great spread you can put up our take down in half the time.

We use alot of decoys in deeper water and I can't tell you how nice it is to have only 25 lines to deal with rather than a 100 individuals!More time looking up out of the blind than fixing your spread or getting them off your dog!

It works like it says it does. I also hook it to my jerk cord so in stead of three decoys moving I have from 4 to 6 decoys on one jerk cord. I bought another set cause I have a couple holes where you can not walk out and grab decoys cause the water is shallow but there is holes from beevers so you drop is water that is about your head.
