Nice idea but in my case it seems to be a bit unnecessary as putting the ground coffee in the pot is really not that hard to begin with. It's actually slightly more annoying than not having it as well because in my experience it seems to compress the coffee a bit too much which causes a bit of trouble. I'd say you're better off going without it.

The Kilimazart Moka Pot Dosing Ring & Coffee Distributor does its job in terms of mess reduction and even distribution of coffee grounds. It’s a useful tool if you’re particular about your coffee-making process, but it’s not essential for everyone. The quality could be improved, and the size might not suit larger Moka pots, but for smaller ones, it’s a helpful addition to the brewing routine.

I have several sizes of moka pots and the hardest part of using them is getting the coffee into the basket. I love how easy this dosing ring is to use, and how well it fits on my larger moka pots. The product seems to fit all my six cup moka pots and larger. I rotate the dosing ring to distribute and gently even out the coffee in the basket. Overall I am very happy with this product.

I have a single dose grinder for my moka pot that works well to transfer into the filter basket, but I thought this might work even better. It does work as designed, evening out the top of the coffee by turning it. You cannot use it with the filter in the moka pot as it doesn't fit, so you have to hold it with on hand and pour your coffee with the other. Definitely doable. It does work as designed but I'm still not sure if it offers much of an improvement over careful pouring directly from my grinder. Time will tell. I am still giving it 5 stars as it is well made and works as designed.

This ring fit my 3-cup moka pot perfectly. It is made of thick sturdy-feeling clear plastic. It’s not a vital tool, but it does make loading coffee into the pot easier and tidier.
