This really helped me find out I had mold in the house. Great product. We left it in some rooms we suspected might have mold and as you can see on the pictures it was very clear. Everyone needs to check their homes.There's plenty of colonies that formed and the product box includes even a little visual guide book in identifying your mold types on your own. It helps a lot in identifying your mold on your own, though for me, I went through the provided route of sending pictures through email which really did assist in identifying it more accurately through another opinion.The petri dishes are fairly easy to set up and even started to show results within 5 days. You are advised to keep them in total darkness and in a warm/hot environment. For me that was definitely in my garage and they started to grow fairly quickly in my case. I'll definitely be getting more kits in the future once I have cleared up my mold situation in the home, just to be sure it is all gone.Overall, it is worth getting considering the price and results that you can see quickly. Just leave them out an hour to see what it picks up in the environment and look up what you see.

After moving into our rental home in a humid area, we started to notice a funky smell in the house. We decided to try this mold test to see if there was any issues we could address to get rid of the smell. It came with great instructions, slides, q-tips, gloves, and pictures to compare to results. The pictures were super helpful, but also hard when results didn't perfectly match. The paperwork ensured that the company was more than happy to help with identification, if wanted. I also appreciated the directions of how to address or mitigate the mold discovered. We were able to purchase air filters and dehumidifiers, which helped significantly.

I ordered this mold test kit for some suspicious spots in the bathroom and closet. It came with everything advertised in the photos except for gloves. The sample plates are well-packaged, sealed in a sterile bag, which is then sealed in 2 layers of vacuum-sealed bags. No chance of contamination while in storage!Per the instructions, I swabbed a section of the bathroom wall I was suspicious of and then rolled it across the sample plate. For the sample in the closet/HVAC, I rummaged around the clothes a bit and then placed the uncovered sample plate in there for an hour to collect any spores in the air. The instructions said to then place the sample plates in a dark warm area for several days, checking in on them each day for growth. I confirmed mold was present in the sample plates after 3 days and gave it another day to confirm the type of mold it was. The picture ID cards included were actually quite helpful for ID'ing the mold (see pics). I ended up using white and black sheets of cardstock as a backdrop since some of the mold coloring is a bit difficult to see with the yellow tint of the plate material.The kit works exactly as advertised and the included picture ID cards are useful for ID'ing the mold and giving recommendations on how to treat it. Definitely worth getting this kit if there is any doubt about mold in the area! My only concern is that once the vacuum seal is broken to get the sample plates out, I'm not sure if you can reseal or store any of the unused plates. So maybe just order a smaller test kit size to start out with!

I returned this once and reordered and both times the liquid from the dishes had leaked all over inside the bag so it gets all over your hands and drips everywhere when you open it. The stuff inside the dishes had got mangled and shrunk up and I returned them both.

I ordered this Mold Test Kit for my Home Air Quality to make sure my home is healthy for my family. Being asthmatic I find that this is vitally important. Very happy with the purchase as it has provided peace of mind. It arrived yesterday, took a sample and so far no growth. I noticed some dots on my ceiling and the AC repair guy went in my attic. Looked at the spot and said water came through and it’s just the water that leaked through the ceiling. I wasn’t sold on that so I purchased this this kit and tested those spots. Again. So far no growth.

I needed these because of work issues not being addressed by maintenance that was causing me some health issues like inner ear infections that my doctor said was due to fungus exposure, nose and chest congestion mainly while working. Work has had issues with fixing drains and pipes going to soda fountains and bathroom leaving wet floors and walls for weeks. Used two to take air samples and three to swab a wall, wet floor, and pipe. all 5 grew mold and one had 5-6 kind of different molds. I was impressed how the test trays grew everything and even from just leaving the tray out for a few hours open was able to collect mold. I submitted my findings sto corporate and now they are taking some proper steps. My only issue was it took longer then 48hrs for the growth to become visible and had to leave the trays for a week to get noticeable results but it did work.
