This is a beautiful island. This is a gift for our son. He loves it and it looks great in his place. It was a chore to assemble but the instructions were easy to follow and none of the parts were damaged or missing. It was well worth the cost.

Just what we needed for the kitchen. Came just as it looks in the photos and assembled fairly easily and quickly. Very good quality. Nice, sturdy and good looking.

To start, I am very handy and put these projects together regularly, and it took me nearly an hour to just unpack (impressed with packaging) and arrange pieces for construction. Not sure where the hour and half for total project came from, but definitely an outlier. Pieces are very heavy, and well put together but definitely needed help carrying top. We needed to redrill a few holes but most lined up well. Top wood is more orange than shown, but would definitely buy again. Bought two matching stools which are great, super sturdy, and easy to put together, as well as a deal. Just did it yesterday so not sure about endurance. But looks quality.

J'ai réaménagement ma cuisine pour me faire une salle a dîner a part et j'avais besoin de cette îlot et vraiment pas déçu j'adore ce produit. Par contre les petit banc ça aurais pris des 24'' a la place de 29'' mais tous de même très bien

The unit (2021 bought) was a breeze to assemble. Everything lined up nicely. Some of the cam locks were poorly stamped so we're hard to tighten up but changing around worked.Now the only problem is the granite top came broken. Will have to wait and see what Amazon / supplier Home Styles Furniture do to rectify.Home Styles phone number supplied is not connected.

Took about 5 hours for my buddy to put it together. It took about 1.5 hours to unpack it. It came in 3 large VERY heavy boxes that I had to beg the UPS guy to get it into the kitchen. He had to role the boxes into the house. The boxes were approx. 130 pounds each. Shipping was free with this which I have to say is an amazing deal. Had I not been home the UPS guy would have left this in front of the garage and that would have been a nightmare. The packaging was ingenious but it was an ordeal to unpack the boxed crates that held the huge heavy pieces especially the granite top which was beautiful and came without a hitch. As with a monster like this shipped from China there was a crack in a piece of the wood but on the inside of the side piece that wasn't noticeable at all once this was put together and had no structural purpose. That said, this piece is gorgeous and very expensive looking. Don't order this with the chairs because that will cost you over $400 for the chairs and we got 2 gorgeous bright orange modern "deco" looking chairs on here for a about $150 for both. You can't go wrong that way. Make sure you order the one with the granite top because it's offered in both styles. The pieces overall fit together well and have a very high quality look. The doors close but the magnets holding them closed are somewhat light duty and the doors aren't perfectly aligned. Not noticeable but it does make it harder for the left door to hold closed as tightly as the right one. Overall they work fine. Directions were okay, but make sure you put the sides on the correct side and the leaf side of the table on the correct side or you'll end up with the whole thing backwards and you'll need to unbolt the sides and top and switch them around. That took about 1.5 hours. HAHA. Fun. Said and done, it looks great, came in good shape, and looks awesome in the 1940 semi updated kitchen making the kitchen look expensive and worlds better then it did. Just make sure you have a helper because this thing is a monster.

I received this package on the day Amazon said it would be delivered. I brought it into the house myself. It came in three packages, two were relatively light and one was fairly heavy, over 70 lbs, according to the stickers applied to the box. The packaging was excellent with hard cell Styrofoam protection on all sides, a thin softer cell package separating and protecting external surfaces inside from other pieces. The box for the top had extra protection using mdf type boards to protect the edges and hard cell Styrofoam forming a case around it as well. Needless to say, it came without damage.I am also a woodworker but I have not been able to setup my shop in my current house. I moved here a few years ago. I have made furniture and so do understand the intricacies of construction and assembly. In some ways this is well built, and in others it is flimsy. The backside, is a very thin piece of wood or composite. Given this is the side where someone will sit to eat with the top extended, it may take some abuse from peoples feet and shoes so they should have made this a bit more sturdy. The rest is fine. The wood top is nice but it does have a number of holes as mentioned by other reviewers. This comes from the choice and quality of the wood. I do not have a problem with it but others may.It took me about 2 1/2 hours to assembly. I took a break in the middle and do not count that time in the assembly time estimate. The quick assembly metal pegs went in fine. One did not screw in properly and so that one may be suspect down the road. Also one of the screws that use the Allen wrench wouldn't feed into the insert and so was not installed. I will likely just put in a wood screw to make sure it stays together, but I don't think it needs it either. The directions do not include a part on assembling the drawers. Thank goodness it was easy to figure out. Make sure the sides with the roller go towards the back and you should be fine. There was also only one bag of screws left and so they were the screws to use in the assembly of the drawers. Once assembled, it works as expected and looks fine. The twist lock parts did not seem to lock very well for me, but maybe that was me. Perhaps I screwed the pegs in too far. However, I was able to put this together in a single evening. The hinge assembly had pre-drilled holes for only two screws per hinge. I used a drill to pre-drill the holes for the third screw for each hinge. This made it much easy for the final screw insert. I used a standard philips head screwdriver although I used different sizes depending on the screw/part. So I finished in time for my wife to start putting things in it before we went to bed.
