Monoprice makes great speaker wire. It costs a fraction of what you will pay in the big box stores and works identical. The sheathing is solid and protects the cables well from interference running behind a wall. I've used these to run to tower and bookshelf speakers with up to ~125 watts of power without any perceivable distortion.

Flexible, true 14ga, and copper as far as I can tell. Easy to cut, strip, and manipulate for installation. No issues or concerns noticed with sound clarity or volume for what it was used for (Klipsche center speaker in a 5.2 setup.) Extremely happy with my purchase.

Overpriced cables be damned, Monoprice offers a well manufactured speaker wire for in-wall use, and at an affordable price too. I have Polk Audio in-wall speakers and couldn't be happier with the performance of their speaker wire. 14 gauge copper is more than enough for even large speakers and the shielding is strong and durable. Don't let the price fool you, Monoprice makes some great stuff.

I like this cable. I am not using it "in the wall" but just out in the open. It looks as good as any other cables I've used and seems to work very well. I may get some connectors down the road but for right now I am using stranded wire.

This stuff is excellent for the prices. Some times i found it even cheaper on the monoprice site than on amazon. I have about 500 feet of it running through my walls for two HT systems. Doesn't pick up any additional noise (assuming your not running it parallel to power lines) and the rubber sheathing is solid.
