As with other reviews, the mounting bracket really sucks. It's just not the right design for the panel. The retaining clips make it impossible for the panel to rest fully down. I uses an oscillating tool to remove the part of the bracket in the way and then found that the bracket isn't deep enough to allow the panel to properly sit and clamp to the bracket. A proper bracket would be deeper and would put the strengthening parts I cut out on the outside where they won't interfere.

Does a great job and very easy to use. I have bought one for each of the three houses I’ve lived in over the last decade. Makes for a nice clean termination of cat5e cables.

I have it just sitting on top of a server chassis right now because I'm too cheap to buy a rack mount. Works well

Cheap monoprice patch panel. Useful and decent enough quality for the price.

The price is right on this one. The mounting bracket is a little flimsy, but OK overall.

Ehhh, well I am going back to Tripplite. The quality just isn't there, I will pay to Tripplite. Depending on what you want, this is not a bad product, but if you want a quality I would go with someone else.

Easy to install and setup. Don't use the punch down tool they provide for you actually purchase the correct impact punch down tool that cuts they wire flush. It makes for a much cleaner install.

I installed a gigabit lan in a modest sized home. This supplied a frame in a closet where everything--gateway, router, and switch--are all wall mounted in a very small space.

This is a basic patch panel that gets the job done at a decent price point. My one issue is that there could be more room between the back of the patch panel and the white mounting bracket for cable space. I have eight connections running through the panel 4 at 100 meg and 4 at 1 gig with no issues.

IT professional for 20 years. I started out doing cable runs and terminating to patch panels similiar to something like this only on a much larger scale. When it came time to terminate some cables in my new home I looked up what was available on Amazon. There are several 12-port panels to choose from here. Any of them will do the job but this one was the right price and even came with a tool (crude but it works) to punch down. Installed easily and works. The quality is adequate as well. Good deal!
