I recently bought a Launch CRP919E scanner, and the cable was too short to use anywhere but the drivers seat. I couldn't just find a longer cable, so I went with this. It did not fit into the port on the scanner without slight trimming, but it's not exactly advertised or meant for my application. 10ft was a little much, but it works great.

The Autel AL539b scan tool uses a DB15 connector to attach the cable that plugs into the car's DLC (diagnostic link connector). The cable itself is not quite long enough to have the scan tool with you if you're under the hood of the car. I was recently trying to monitor fuel trims on the scan tool while checking for vacuum leaks and began to wish that the cable was just a couple of feet longer.The simple answer is a 6 foot male-to-female DB15 cable to act as an extension. The extension goes between the Autel and its original cable. Problem solved, now you have another 6 feet to use.I bought this cable because it was the least expensive one (less than $7) with good reviews. I had it in my hands the next day.It plugs in with no trouble and works perfectly-- no connection or data transfer issues at all. The cable itself is pliable and appears well made.For $7, I consider this almost mandatory for an AL539b. It makes it easier to monitor live data while working under the hood. I'll continue to use it and report back once I've put some more time on it, but for now this cable is a winner.

Recently I got a hold of a 24 year old product called a Piano Discovery System. Everything was included except the cable and it requires a DB15 cable male on one side female on the other, sometimes known as a Joystick/MIDI cable since it interfaces between the 49-key electric piano keyboard and the computer. It supplies the electric keyboard 5 volts from the PC as well as the MIDI (Musical Instruments Digital Interface). Once the cable was plugged in on both ends and the software installed and the program running, the piano came alive and works well. The system is used to teach a child or adult how to play the piano, so now we all have something else to do since we are staying home. Works great

I transport a monitor and laptop to a friend's place, for weekly gaming.The old one stopped working, so this was a replacement.It seems as good as the original (which lasted a few years of weekly transit, stored in the styrofoam pocket of the monitor's box.So far this one has lasted a few months without any issues.As far as connecting to a PC and leaving it on the desk in a single position, it would probably outlast your desktop as we eventually upgrade those.
