While you do lose some picture quality due to the splitting of a single signal so many times, if you aren't in the need for UHD, then this product will definitely work for you; as it did me. I don't get too excited rating items like this, but just know it does what it is suppose to do. So, if you need a coax splitter, don't shy away from this one.

I recently bought a 1999 home, and the previous owners had two 4 port splitters to split the coaxial cables throughout the house. I noticed some rooms had lower strength signal and concluded that it was because it was split too many times or because of lower quality coaxial cable. So far after replacing multiple splitters with this 1 splitter, the signal seems to be more stable and works well. Also this cleaned up the clutter of cables and splitters mess down in the basement. It looks so much neater with just 1 splitter instead of 2.I will have to do long term testing per room to confirm if it is fixed for all ports. If the signal is poor for some rooms, it will mean few of the coaxial cables are lower quality.

This worked for two months. No issues. Then just stopped working. Threw it out.

I was hesitant to purchase this because going from one input to eight output would likely attenuate (weaken) the signal and cause poor reception from the tvs in my house. But lo-and-behold, it works fine. I've got my verizon fios cable input into this splitter and the signals from the outputs even through long cable runs are good enough for the verizon signals. I can't vouch for other signal sources (e.g., might not be good enough for a passive antenna on your roof), but for my situation with my verizon fios tv, this splitter works well. I mounted it to the wall in my basement crawl space next to the verizon box coming from the underground cable, and it splits off the signal to separate cables going to the rest of my house. The price on this particular splitter was a lot more reasonable than many of the other options available here on amazon.

Ordered this to replace several smaller splitters. Simple to use and set up, input in the middle and outputs to the other ports. No signal degradation that I can see and finally brings full coax connection to every room in my house. No complaints and works perfectly. I highly recommend this product.

This installed in the central data/media location to feed to the rooms in the house. it mounts easily and without a large footprint. The cables rout nicely from the sides. The digital signal through all ports is great. Never notice any issues. A nice price for a nice splitter.

Not sure what I expected, but attempting to use this with a handful of Actiontec ECB6200 MoCA adapters failed gloriously. The adapters were originally set up with a couple of 2-way splitters that were included in their respective boxes, and those worked beautifully. Coax lights lit up, connections established, and they've been rock solid for weeks now. So I wanted to expand the system with other MoCA devices, but unfortunately this 8-way splitter was just not having it. I replaced the original 2x 2-way splitter setup with this, terminated all of the unused connections, and while the Coax lights lit up, the ethernet devices attached to the MoCA adapters refused to stay connected for any meaningful amount of time. They would just drop out every few seconds and the connection was basically useless. I replaced this 8-way with the original 2x 2-way setup, and again, that works flawlessly.Maybe it has something to do with the relatively high signal-to-noise ratio produced by this box, or something else that I can't explain, but it just doesn't work. Oh well, least I'm only out a few bucks.

I have a gigabit internet connection and wanted to install multiple access points throughout the house with moca adapters. I noticed certain coax outlets in the house didn't have a signal. So I decided to check out the junction box. Lo and behold only four of the possible eight coax cables are connected. So I ordered this bad boy and it's been working great. All of the outlets have a signal now and haven't had any hiccups since. I don't notice any signal cutouts or degradation. Solid construction and I highly recommend this product

This review is about the condition of the splitter. While the splitter itself seems ok, it arrived with one of the mounting flanges bent. I doubt the bent flange will affect the functioning of the splitter, however it did arrive in ";damage". Again, it appears the flange is the only thing damaged on the splitter. After I get it installed to see if the internal condition is functional, I will update my review. That being said, it did arrive in a timely fashion and packaged sufficiently. I think the bend in the flange was a quality control issue that was overlooked at the factory.

Revised Review:Mea Culpa! Investigating further, I discovered that my house cabling was mis-labled. Funny thing happened when I connected the correct cable to the input terminal, the splitter worked as advertised! Sorry Monoprice! I need to change my rating from one to five stars.Original Review:This product didn't work with my outside over the air antenna. It would not discover any channels. NOTHING!! I only wish that I hadn't waited so long to install it. The return window has closed for this purchase or it would be going back. A total waste of my money. Buyer beware! A total waste of my money

Replaced several 2 way and 3 way splitters with this one splitter. It really helped clean up a major coax mess in a family member's house. I hooked up a small amp to feed into this unit and several of the drops around the house had a cleaner signal.Great price, i would buy one again.
