These usually last me about 3 years with the rough roads we have in Louisiana. My old one was starting to leak oil so I knew it’s time was up. Pretty easy replacement just two bolts. I didn’t have to change the longer bolt as mine was still in good shape.

This is not a direct replacement but requires that a tapered pin with a mounting post be installed on the steering arm end of the damper. Pretty much need an air wrench to pull the tapered pin into place.

So far so good. After starting with the MOOG stabilizer on my 1995 Toyota T100 4WD (137,000 Miles) that didn't fit because it was too short, I got this one in it's place and it fits just about perfect. Just about because the point that it attaches to the sway bar(not sure that is the right term) the tapered bolt doesn't quite allow the end of the stabilizer to sit flush on the bracket. About a 1/16" gap. Thinking that that is ok. Truck definitely drives better now.

I own a 97 toyota t100 sr5 4x4. It has 209000 miles and I replaced the factory (completely worn out) stabilizer bar with this Monroe sc2954. It made a HUGE improvement in how the truck feels. All the steering slop is gone and the truck feels like its driving much smoother.

I have a 1998 Toyota T100 SR5 4x4 pickup. My Toyota OEM steering stabilizer was shot and all the oil had leaked out of it. The OEM part from Toyota is 4 times the cost of the Monroe stabilizer. When I installed the stabilizer it required the use of a Pickle Fork to get the old one off on the end that has the tapered bolt & nut. The Monroe unit bolted right on with the parts provided. The installation made a big difference on the smoothness of the steering and the "tight" feel while driving. Comparing the OEM and the Monroe it is obviuos the Monroe is built for heavy duty use and should work very well for a long time. Happy with the purchase!!
