The construction was better than the original. You can feel the weight difference and see the thickness difference. The threads were correct. Where the problem came in was in the center, there are no threads or space to screw the tie rod ends enough to all the front wheel to be straight. When fully assembled, both front wheels were toed out and could not be adjusted any further. I had to use my originals.

This is supposedly made for my 1990 S10 2WD, it does not. This sieve is the same dimension as the original; however, the threads stop and the tie rods are not able to be threaded in as much as the OEM ones. This keeps the wheels pointed out way too much. Had to use the 30 year old originals as these are worthless for my truck. Being a lifelong Moog user, this is a huge disappointment.

I intended on using this as a brace for a metal rod that needed mending.

While the solid, larger diameter, no-split center section considerably strengthens/stiffens tie rod assemblies, which I like enough to keep them, I do not like that mfg. didn't tap them deep enough, to allow proper toe adjustment. Currently, both wheels have very extreme toe out, and locked. will not adjust further... Considering the improved design, versus the considerably weaker fully split design, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and attribute the 'defect' to using Detroit Axle ends with Moog adjustment sleeves...While I should return them as defective, to save time, waiting on another set, that may or may not be the same, as well as the expense of buying both left and right-hand thread taps, to extend thread depth myself, I'm pulling the tie rods, grinding 3/8" off all 4 threaded tie rod ends, (and chamfering end, so threads will engage easier, and allow slightly more depth adjustment), to gain 5/8" further adjustment, to set proper toe in spec. Given I don't have an alignment rack, I'm measuring old tie rod length, and adjusting the new rod length the same, to get it close enough, to do final toe adjustment, at ride height...

Great fit, but check the threads before installing. Ordered two, but had to exchange one because of manufacturing defects on threads. Besides that, content with product overall.

Bought for my ‘63 chevy iiDidn’t want to buy new tie rods to replace my frozen ones so I cut the old connector to extend the end slots and split the slot with a chisel. This looses the threads and let me salvage the tie rod ends. Bought this to replace- I like how the slot goes all the way; will make it harder to get stuck on- though it will expose the threads to the elements more.

Used these to rebuild the front end on my 64 nova, the car handles almost like new now! Well worth a few extra dollars for the Mooog brand.
