I feel like this is just a poorly designed tie rod end by Moog which is disappointing because I typically have good luck with Moog products. The rubber boot sits outside of the metal tie rod, and rubber in general doesn’t secure very well to metal so I don’t get this design at all. The rubber boot was coming detached from the tie rod before I even attempted to install it. That defeats the whole purpose of the boot, because dirt is going to get in the space between the boot and the joint any time I take a turn and put pressure on the tie rod. I’ve never seen a tie rod designed this way. I tied uploading a pic but Amazon reviews on a mobile phone is lousy and rarely lets you access your camera roll for some unknown reason, so before you buy take a good look at how the boot is attached to the tie rod and think about how easily the boot can come unattached when you move the joint around due to the design.
