Scottish legend tells of a time when the thistle plant alerted the Scottish army of an oncoming assault by Norse invaders. One of the Norseman stepped bare-footed upon the plant and shouted in pain, giving their position away. It is a national symbol of protection and prickly determination.

Quickly shipped. Quality construction. Beautiful peridot...as shown in photo. Shiny silver that stands out. Although I read the dimensions before ordering, in reality the pendant looked bigger than anticipated. So, with regret, it was returned. But still recommended as a great way to honor anyone with Scottish ancestry. A truly lovely piece!

Love this pendant! Large enough to be seen well, but still small enough to be delicate. Peridot stone is a vibrant shade of green...not too olive. Good packaging. Would buy from this seller again!
