The packing was terrible, everything was in the box , but came unwrapped, but I will say it's made very well.

I purchased this to distill lavender for essential oil. I had asked in the Q & A section if the top of the still came off. but I guess it was not understood what I meant. In the 5 gallon still we use, the top comes off like a milk can lid, so a basket can be inserted with the lavender buds. The 13 gallon still's top is very narrow, it is the very top of the actual mechanism, where the venting tube attaches, or a column can be added for adding herbal material. This is not condusive to the amount of lavender we want to use this for. We will continue to use it once we find a larger pot type column to attach to the top.It is a well made still, and did work very well when we used it with the column, but it's to cumbersome to use it that way for our use.
