This is a nice tool and can easy test if power valve is good or faulty - it is still very difficult to determine what the extract settings on the power valve is, if you test a 7.5 psi and a 3.5 psi then it is possible to visual see the difference in the movement on the valve with the more or less vacuum but it will be guesswork to tell exact when it closes - a 4.5 psi and 3.5 psi is not possible to see witch one is witch one.

Moroso products have always been the best. And this tool backs it up. Easy to use , hook up to a hand held vacuum pump and your ready. Takes the guess work out of knowing if a power valve is bad.

Very difficult to seal when testing. Even "known to be good" and brand new valves show that they leak until multiple tries at sealing gives a proper reading. Too difficult to use to be useful !

On one hand I didn't want to buy this because it was expensive and my rebuild kit provided new power valves. But since I've been having carb problems, I darn well wanted to know where the problems were, and of course, where they were not. I checked the old valves coming off and the new valves being install. Great piece of mind and narrows down any necessary trouble shooting. Your time is worth something if you don't want to have to take the carb off over and over again trying to isolate any problems. The part itself is extremely sturdy and well made, and very easy to use. Only takes a few seconds to test a power valve.

Great tool to save time and get easy to see results when testing power valves. It's easy to just slap in a new power valve every rebuild but this can save some money and also verify proper power valve operating range.
