I have used these for decades on every carb I build...great quality, nice to set fuel level without dripping fuel on the hot intake...

I had a set of these on a Jeep about 20 years ago. They lasted at least 5 years and were made by Holley. I installed these Moroso ones on my Holley 4160 and set the float level. The next morning one of the plugs was laying on the intake. I went to loosen the other one and it broke off when I touched it. When I initially installed them they were finger tight. I don't know if the temp had anything to do with it but it did get down to about 10 degrees F. Not worth the risk.

Garbage, ran car for 10 minutes while adj fuel level on a Cuda aar six pak unscrewed and 1/2 of threaded part broke off inside carb diagonally not like it snapped in half, the fuel ate it apart in 10 minutes and i put on soft as possible without leaking fuel while idling.

0 stars They lasted one day and they fell apart. Plastic failed had the sight portion separated from the screw in portion. Sight glass was laying on the intake and the thread felling into the fuel bowls.

Snapped as soon as I started the car, popped right out, thread broke. Definitely wouldn't recommend. It sucks because I have lots of Moroso parts and never had problems with any of them, this is definitely a first for me.

They were absolute garbage, I put them in, within 10 min one fell off broken, and about 20 min later the second one broke off. The bowls had to come off to remove what was left threaded in. Total junk.

Just snug them up. They will break under vibration if too tight.

These sight plugs are plastic not made for permanent placement, I live in arizona it gets hot and the plastic plugs got brittle and broke inside the carburetor, I had to take the whole carb off to get those little plastic out,,,

They work great if you use them correctly. They are ONLY used to set the floats. All these people complaining after leaving them in permanently are the problem. You have to know how to use parts correctly.

I had an old set of sight plugs that were put in 25 years ago. I bought these thinking they would be similar. I used them all of two days. The first day I put them in finger tight and used them to get the fuel level right. I drove around town came home and checked them and they seemed fine. Two days later I check them again and to my surprise the plug had dissolved into two pieces. The sight plug on the secondary bowl swelled up so I needed pliers to turn it all the way out. It was stiff all the way to the end of the threads. I don't recommend these unless you are doing a quick level check and then remove them before either they get too hot or the gas dissolves them. Not sure which or a combination is the problem. Definitely do a very light finger tight if you decide to try them anyway.
