you have to remove at least two plugs but when you go to re-install one of the plugs after you tighten the wire down you have no idea which plug to insert. One of the plugs is to small and possibly by the time you figure that out you may have disposed of the right plug. Over all far better solution then a split bolt and if its going to be up in an attic exposed to dry, hot, frigid conditions a split bolt and its hour of wrapping may not last the ages that this will far better faster safer solution.

I was running new service to an outbuilding and used these. What a great idea, very easy to use with the heavy gauge wiring.

These splices are well-constructed and well-insulated. I used them to splice some 2-2-2-4 aluminum. They also have a smaller footprint than gel splices making it easy to contain them within a junction box. The gel splices did not work well for me.
