The mosquitos aren't rampant in our area yet but we did try these for a day and they seemed to work well. The kids loved the colors and the comfort of the band. By the end of the day, the boisterous four-year-old had pulled and stretched his wristband to a size that no longer would stay on--but that was due to his excessive rough handling of the product. We will apply one of the sticky dot repellents to the back of his shirt next time! :) The online ad says the dots are "funny." They aren't in any way. No smiley face or anything--just a solid color sticky dot. Maybe that will make you laugh.I look forward to trying these in the summer.

Funny, but my wife and I are wear these at this very moment. This morning we both got bitten by mosquitoes shortly after waking from bed. My poor wife got many bites on both legs and I got a few bites on my left arm only. When she gets bitten by a mosquito, her skin gets very swollen, to the point of it being obvious from across the room. We wondered when mosquito season was going to start in our region and, well, today is apparently the day. These wearable/removable springy mosquito repellent bands seem like a great idea. So far, I have not noticed additional bites and my wife also hasn't gotten more bites, so I think these bands are working. I have seen a couple flying about the room, but they are leaving me alone while typing this review. Yay! I am putting a few into my bicycle bag. I worried that the smell would be unpleasant, but I was wrong. The odor for these bands is not offensive at all, though it is strong. I actually one on my left arm and another on my right leg, the springy bands are very stretchy and will fit almost any size person, from adults to children. Came with small circles that stick to your skin and clothing to also repel mosquitoes.

This is a very generous set of mosquito repellant bracelets and stickers. Everything arrived individually wrapped and then in one big bag. Usually, I chafe at what I consider far too much individual packaging, but, in this case, it is appropriate. These types of products need to stay sealed since they become less effective once opened and exposed to air.The stickers tripped me up at first. Never seen those before. But they are kind of brilliant since you can put them on clothing of young kids without worry they will chew on the bracelet or touch it and rub their eyes. As an experiment, I stuck one on the outside of my glass when pests kept trying to dive-bomb it, and it took care of that problem. Just don't put it so near the lip of the cup that you touch it with your lips.I tried these in a place where the pests are particularly aggressive and pervasive, and they worked at least as well as the bug sprays I've used in the past. I can't say they were 100% effective. I ended up with a couple of bites, but nothing like in years past at this same spot. Since I seem to be a tasty morsel for mosquitos and I'm tall, I wore one on my wrist and one on my ankle for full coverage. The one change I'd wish for is that the bracelets were a bit larger so it would be easier to wear them on the ankles.

I am a mosquito buffet and very allergic to their bites, typically getting large swollen welts around my ankles and tender parts of my arms. But since wearing these bracelets I have not gotten a mosquito bite even once - not even on my legs when wearing the band only on my wrist. I find the citronella scent to be quite pleasant and to me it has a hint of sweetness to it too, instead of a harsh chemical smell. My first band I wore constantly, even to bed, hand washing, getting wet in the garden, etc. and only took it off for showers. The band was long-lasting and I didn't need to change to a fresh band for almost a week and a half. There was still a faint smell but I felt it was time for a fresh one. I love that these contain plant-based ingredients, not DEET. Having each band individually wrapped ensures that the bands stay fresh until use. The fact that these work so well makes me even more happy that I have a backup stash to last for quite some time. And these come from a small business brand!

I'm one of those people who really attract mosquitoes, and in my region, we unfortunately have an invasive ankle-biter species.I've used similar type of mosquito bands before. Like others I've used, these are very strongly scented. Since I am so attractive to mosquitoes, I have to wear one on each ankle, and depending on my movement, each wrist as well to really eliminate bites. Unfortunately, you really have to choose between a strong scent or mosquito bites, but I will choose these bracelets over itching for days and, albeit rare, the chance of a mosquito-borne illness. The stickers don't work quite as well for me (they aren't quite as strong in scent), but they can supplement areas where you need extra protection and aren't close to the bands, like your neck. The ingredients on the bracelets are PE plastic plus 15% geraniol oil, 5% lemongrass oil, and 2% citronella oil. A higher percent of geraniol oil is good since in multiple studies, it outperforms lemongrass and citronella. DEET is the gold standard for repelling mosquitoes, but these work well-enough if you aren't on the mosquito coast. The current price is quite reasonable, and it's good to stock up for mosquito season. I wear these for several hours before I notice the potency wearing off.
