This product is perfect for my garden! I put a few near my patio and they are so effective at repaying mosquitoes that the family and I have not been bitten by mosquitoes since using this product! They are easy to use - as long as they are placed where they are needed, they provide lasting protection. No more mosquito bites when I relax outside!

I like that these are natural but I slapped several mosquitos while having one out with me. It's a very powerful smell that will permeate your clothes if you happen to sit on one as I did. I wish it worked, but sadly this isn't the solution. Perhaps I would have gotten bit more? But I still was eaten up.

These have a strong scent to them but it's not unpleasant. They are made with lemongrass, wintergreen, and peppermint oil so you want to be sure to use the little gloves they include in the box so you don't get that on your skin. This would definitely be an irritant if you got it in your eyes! These mosquito repellent balls come 10 to a pack and are individually wrapped. You get 10 little cloth drawstring bags that you put the repellent balls in and you could hang them, etc. We live in Arkansas and during the summer the mosquitoes are HORRIBLE. Spring isn't too bad but they've already started coming out this year with all the rain. We wanted to grill and used just two of these that we set around the patio while we were out there. They seemed to work pretty well! I don't know that they'd be strong enough to ward off a swarm but I think these will be incorporated into our overall mosquito solution. They're easy to use, work pretty well and don't smell bad.

While the smell of these repellent balls is not offensive or chemically, they are pungent. In the write up, it claims that these are for indoor or outdoor use. I can't ever see using these indoors; even with the box closed their smell is strong and unmistakable. But, for outdoor use, these will come in handy. They clearly smell like most non-DEET spray repellents and, again, the smell is not off-putting or bothersome. A great way to safely keep the mosquitos at least partly at bay as the weather gets warmer.

I'm giving these 5 stars - yes, they are pungent, but I like the smell - it's the combination of lemongrass/wintergreen and peppermint fragrances. Plus, I like that they have all natural ingredients in them. Each ball is sealed in a plastic casing to preserve the oils. The package comes with little bags with drawstrings - one for each ball. There was another little clear plastic packet in the box also - when I opened it, it was a plastic glove to use when handling the mosquito balls. A nice touch, but I'll probably just wash my hands afterwards. These should work very well for outdoor picnics and BBQ's in the summer.

The temperature in the Pacific NW is warming up in preparation for summer. This means mosquitoes are out in full force during the early evenings. I've used citronella candles, OFF bug spray, and a host of other products. The effective products require you to either lather on or spray chemicals all over yourself, so there's a negative side effect of that. The candles are ok, but not totally effective.Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from these repellent balls, but I was willing to try anything to avoid mosquito bites. I opened the package and bagged up two repellent balls to place around my backyard patio. I noticed a few mosquitoes and thought, "this isn't working."While I was sitting and enjoying a good book, I realized that I hadn't been bothered by any mosquitoes. Not one! I stayed out for another hour or so until the temperature started to drop and I was mosquito-bite-free! Amazing! I have a few gatherings planned in the next couple weeks, so I intend to use a few of these repellent balls around the inside and outside of my home. I'll report back to share the results.

We like to have special times on our back deck in the summer. Due to some nearby ponds the mosquitos can get a bit overwhelming. I got these to help.BOXThe box comes shrink wrapped in plastic and the smell is so strong, that despite the wrapping and the shipping box they were sent in, the smell was so powerful you could smell it through the box and all several feet away! I highly suggest you get a good heavy plastic bag to store these in to keep the smell contained.ODORAlthough this is supposed to be natural, the smell gives me a headache when they are in the house until they are sealed up in several layers of bags. When outside on one end of the deck, it won't be as bad, but keeping them in the house is a challenge.DO THEY WORK?Although I did not have a lot of mosquitos at the time I got these, there are surprisingly some out there on the deck. When I had this sealed box out there, they did not come near me. I am not saying it is because of this stuff, but that is what happened. This summer I can update if there is anything else to report.WETThese won't be able to get wet. If you plan to use them outside, I highly suggest you keep them in a plastic bag and/or box in between uses. They should last through a few evenings if they are put away in between times to preserve the smell.THE BOTTOM LINEThe smell on these in the sealed box is overwhelming to me, but outside they won't be as bad.My RATINGFOUR STARS. I wish that these came in a thick plastic case so they are easier to store until needed. They really do smell very strongly. If they work well once the severe mosquito waves get bad, I will be thankful for them.

I used this on my patio, but mosquitoes were still biting like crazy. It felt like I hadn’t used anything at all.
