We needed this moss for a forest/mushroom themed birthday party, to use as a runner under the table centerpieces. The moss itself appears to have been sprayed into place on top of a plastic mesh grid, and they put a piece of plastic under that to keep the layers from sticking, and the whole thing was rolled up. My biggest complaint here is that the moss is actually very brittle, so when you unroll it there were several areas that cracked, and it did not lay flat in several parts. Whatever glue they used to secure the moss together isn't flexible enough for this type of packaging, and there were no instructions to help determine if this was user mistake or just poor quality/design. We made it work, however, as I'm a big fan of the "Eh, good enough" club. We did cut it into two pieces, so it was long enough to go down the middle of two six-foot-long tables just shy of a foot on each side, and when cut it was very brittle and messy, and the mesh ended up showing so we had to cut the mesh from around the outside edges. The moss itself actually looks really good, which is probably the best part about it. It's a vivid green, and had some brown pieces in it that helped with the realism. It is, however, also very thin, so not very fluffy. I didn't notice much of a smell, but admittedly this was used outside and I didn't put my nose directly to it. For the price, however, I don't know that it was honestly worth it considering how much it broke up when unrolling and how much cutting of the mesh I had to do to make it look decent. If the manufacturer is reading this, you should definitely look into a more pliable adhesive to use on the moss so that it has the ability to flex more!

This is beautiful roll of dried moss. The materials look organic and natural. It's much longer than I pictured, so it's great for multiple uses. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does shed and the backing is visible along the sides. It makes a bit of a mess initially, so if using it as a table setting, it takes some shaking out. The visible backing from the edges is apparent in the listing photos to be fair. It's not any worse than pictured. All things considered it's a beautiful option.

Perfect moss runner for a craft fair! No unpleasant smell, the size is accurate, and the color is good. Not overly dusty, but I do recommend opening it outside for the first time.
