Easy to install and well made. Put three of these down and in ten minutes caught two mice. Took them far away from the house, released them, and reset the traps with no issue. Very happy with the quality and the price, would absolutely recommend.

Edited: 2/11/25: I took away one star because they say these traps are reusable but after two trapped mice, they no longer set because the latch breaks. That said, they still trapped mice twice and I have caught four already with more to come I'm sure!This trap did what my two cats could not. Easy to set up and the mouse was caught in a day. Humane solution to glue and traditional traps. We let him go peacefully in the backyard. Run free Mickey!

Fitted with peanut butter - these traps really get the attention of the mice. And - if I am quick, the mice haven't perished from fright and I can easily release the critters into the woods. Unfortunately, it seems they are rather fragile in that department and I've 'tossed' more than I've released. Still -these are GREAT. Easy to fill (and I've only filled it once - the PB lasts and attracts for a long time)- and reset the door after the contents are gone. I can slide up the peanut butter side from the outside without getting messy to release the mouse - and I can reset the door on the other side with a stick (or gloved finger). Quick - easy - not obtrusive - and safe around any other kids or creatures. Highly recommended.

These traps are a humane option, but you do have to check them regularly. If you don't, the mice will starve to death. If you plan on catching and releasing, be sure to release the mice a few miles away from your home so that it's more difficult to follow a scent trail back.I've used these with peanut butter. Peanut butter will not rot quickly, as it is shelf stable. I've set these traps in heat zones (such as boiler room and basement storage area), since we are in the middle of winter now.We've caught 3 mice so far, but there has not been any more excess mouse excrement after the initial clean up before setting the traps - which is a great sign.You do have to clean these because, if you've never used them before, the mice get trapped inside and they do poop in the trap. If you have children or pets, definitely keep these clean.Highly recommend these traps. They seem very durable, they're spacious for the mice, and work extremely well without killing them like traditional snap traps.

I got the new improved version. Followed suggestion of using gloves and baited it with peanut butter. Caught a mouse the first night! Worked great. The mouse wasn't harmed in any way and it didn't seem stressed at all. Cute little thing but I don't want it in my garage. Released it in the woods behind my house and he scurried off happily.

Our garden has become infested with field mice. Removed 10 0f them in 3 days. However, 3 died in the humane traps. Don't know why. Exposure? Panic? First unit failed after 3 days. Entrance door would no longer latch down.
