The threads are metric on ends the threads on my fitting where not. But a m4 tap chased the fitting and these work well in my fittings since they were soft brass.Cables move freely, snapped right in. They where a tad longer by 1/8”-1/4” but adjusted the thread and they work fineI’d buy again.

These were purchased 11 months ago. Motor is not exposed. This much corrosion on an object designed for marine environment is unacceptable.

Will not work with yamaha OEM control cable ends difrent size ends. simple but turns into an expensive project shop labor rate $200 an hour + rarelysized and available cable ends. Good luck finding correct size ends. Will be returning this asap.

Replaced corroded cables (18 yrs old) to Yamaha 9.9 kicker on Wellcraft 24. Overall length was very good and installation was easier than expected but it took over an hour to adjust the tip lengths at both ends so that shifting worked properly and the throttle position was correct. If the package included a one-paragraph description of how to install and adjust these it would have been very helpful.
