Tried this for 3 to 4 months and the plastic pivot adjustment on right side came apart during a ride. Removed it and threw it away since it wasn't fixable.

Not gonna make a fashion statement with this windscreen extender but I have found it to be very functional. A no-brainer to install and easily adjusted. No undue rattling or vibrations.

I bought the smaller and it worked fantastic but was a bit small for my bike, so I went ahead and purchased a large one from a different vendor on Amazon and it was not at all the same quality as this one. I returned that one and then realized this vendor sells a large one as well, once again it's fantastic, take your time installing and reading the vendors instructions both on securing after adjustment and mounting and there is no way this is falling off or coming apart double check and tighten everything and its rock solid . I tested the smaller one at 110mph and not a wiggle. I have not tested this larger one yet but am confident it will be the same . The supplied upgraded wing nut hardware is a bit ugly but does its job very well l. I cannot attest to the quality or strength if the plastic hardware because I used the new stuff. . It's crystal clear 4mm thick much stronger and stiffer than the other vendors screen. To me, it looks like a factory add on to my bike. I will update after road test

you lock the little plastic pieces after you install and remember to push it forward ( leave it alone after you set it ( its plastic) tighten your set screws to the windshield even ( take your time ) little by little / and then there is one more set screw it's almost facing you .. look for the bigger one / dont forget this one and tighten really tight ... ( dont be afraid it's not as fragile when as all describes .. it will work fine ... just replace the black knob like things for the upgrade ( little plastic parts are to be used ... you will find it's really stable & just leave it alone after you set it is key ...

The shield and hardware are a nice design but the hardware is plastic and can't keep the deflector in place at highway speeds in an aggressive position. Aggressive meaning, I had it at maximum angles to push the air up over my very tall frame. 1 hour into a multiday trip and the deflector tipped back and directed all the air right at my face shield, glad I wasn't riding with the face shield up. Pulled over and reset the deflector in place, back on road 5 min later it collapsed again. Reset, next time the hardware just broke, threw it in the trash. I gave it two stars because the deflector itself and the idea is solid. Only two stars cause the hardware is garbage. Bottom line. If you travel not too fast and have this deflector set in a non aggressive position it might work for awhile.

Works great. It is a little flimsy but for the price it works better that I expected. I am 6 foot tall and the wind would hit me just above my eyes. With this installed it throws it up about 3-4 inches over my head and also got the wind off of my ears. Even with the big gap between the windshield and the windshield extension all the wind went straight up the extension. Had it up to 65 mph with no issues, great for cold morning rides to work. I would recommend. *** 9 month update. Unfortunately this week my windshield did get a stress crack from the windshield. The product has work perfect with no issues and has held up to 80-90 mph highway driving( it does move and bounce around a lot) I bought it for cold weather riding but left it on because I enjoyed the No wind directly in my face. I have purchased my replacement windshield because the crack keeps growing. I will simply invest in a taller windshield this time. But the product did work great. The crack has been my only issue.

Pros:Size is good (I have it on a 2007 Suzuki v-strom 650 original windscreen)Attaches securelyWorks as intended - I can set it so that the air stream is deflected above my headThey added metal screws to replace the apparently flimsy plastic locking mechanism, which work fineCons:There are virtually no instructions for installation - it's easy enough, thoughThe black arms are flimsy and the shield shakes accordingly, which is distractingThe shaking also made me loose the two screws that attach the arms to the clear shield, after only a few rides. I hadn't tighten them, because there was no indication that I needed to do, and over tightening would probably crack the plastic. I actually only lost the nuts and took the screws out to not lose those, too. I was hoping that I could contact the seller for replacements, but couldn't find any contact information anywhere. I guess you get what you pay for. I'll find fitting nuts somewhere.

Really reduces the turbulence around the helmet. Put it down as low as it goes and then tip the top of the fin forward for the Laminar effect. That is how it was designed to work. Read up on the laminar lip, or laminar effect to understand. It redirects air by the angle, not the height. It is not the higher height that does the trick, it is the angle it is tipped forward that causes the change in the wind bubble. Play with it, you will see what I mean.I had a laminar lip, and it worked great too but it is so pricey from the USA to Canada. This is half the price. The laminar lip was placed about flush with the height of the old windshield too, to create the laminar effect, creaing a higher air bubble.Only thing is that the glass was clear, but after my first 5 day Motorcycle trip it is turning an amber yellow color already, it is noticeable already compared to the Givi windscreen I have. It is not an ugly yellow color, a slight amber tint, which actually helps the glare a little. Not sure how far the ambering will progress. But as for how it works. Can't beat the price and the difference it makes in head buffeting. 5 Stars for how well it works, and One star off for the yellowing of the lens..... Used on 2016 Suzuki Burgman 650 with Givi touring wind screen.
