Motorad works great! I tested it in pan of water when water temp came up to 180f it opened up fast.(Note: Check water temperature while water is heating on stove using a good cooking thermometer)I have had to redo job after because bad thermostat and was brand new. Just had to take back one that did not open until 200f was a 180fTake Care!

This thermostat is 2-1/2" diameter, appropriate for Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge, and Plymouth thermostat housings. It is the exact same thermostat as the hi-flow unit Tuff Stuff sells for much more, only they use their own branded box but still have the MotoRad text on the thermostat.The thermostat functions properly at an average of 180 degrees. It is well built with a sturdy plate and frame.

I have an odd application. I'm running a flat head six engine and they tend to run hot. It's running hotter now that I put this thermostat in. I saved the old one and will probably put it bak in.
