Go with OEM whenever possible! I did the WRONG thing and used an aftermarket brake booster. What a MISTAKE! The brake pads would not fully disengage when off the brake pedal. Excessive wear on new brake pads and reduction is gas mileage due to friction. After realizing what the problem was, I spent more money to remove the aftermarket booster and install the OEM one on my 2007 Lincoln MKX.

Factory quality brake booster hopefully it doesn’t also have the same defects lol. It comes nicely sealed with caps. The brake pedal feels like new now. Took care of the vacuum leak.

I really needed this part for my 2010 Ford Edge. The part was several hundred dollars cheaper than what the dealer wanted. This was an authentic FoMoCo part and fit like a glove as opposed to some parts that Auto Stores sold that had issues with the bracket that connects to the Brake pedal. Very satisfied.

This part was advertised as a new, OEM part. Upon inspection and installation, we discovered this part was in fact used and removed from an older vehicle and even shows early signs of failure. If this is a reseller, they should be removed from the website.

This Motorcraft brake booster is a good factory part at a good price. Not too hard to install for a handy mechanic type. For my 2010 Ford edge, I managed to swap mine out by removing the air induction incl throttle body and linkage (cleaned throttle body while it was in hand), some vacuum hoses. Careful not to break any fittings! The battery and tray, brake master cylinder w/out opening lines! Braided brake lines allow you to carefully flex master cylinder out of the way just enough! A little work under dash. Dont rush through. It might not seem that it will come out. Be patient removing and re-installing. Don't over or under tighten fasteners. Don't bend brakelines. Some tutorials have you removing the intake manifold. Not necessary in my case. Good luck!Side note: The original, factory installed brake booster has an extended warranty (Mine failed after the extended warranty expired) Call the dealer to ascertain whether your's qualifies or not before going through the time and expense.

Like some of the other reviews stated the booster came separated in the shipping box. The tabs around the housing were not sealed. I put the booster back together then used a small chisel to tap and bend the tabs into place. I didn't have time to wait on a replacement. I've driven the 2007 Edge it was ordered for with no issues for about a month.
