Works just like new. I used a cheaper thermostat prior to this and it got stuck, went back to an OEM part and had no issues ever since.

Put it in 3.0L 1997 Ranger. Temp stays right around 192 degrees per my ODB2 scanner.

This is one of those things that are a no-brainer to get OEM since the price is not ridiculous.Unless maybe you want to go with a lower-than-stock temp.Works good for me in the year-round hot weather of Hawaii.94 Ranger 3.0L

I love Motorcraft parts for my Mercury Sable, they just seem to run better in it. Cost is a little more but I don't mind if it means original factory part.

It works perfectly on my 1996 Ford Ranger 3.0 liter V6. The only thing that was not included in this was a gasket for the thermostat housing. I prefer using that over just using gasket maker.

Original factory equipment at the fraction if the cost. High quality product. If you can get the factory part get it instead of an after market that's made in China. When you change out the part look at the thermostat housing. There is a oblong cut out that is the location of where the jiggle valve orientation. Turn the thermostat to lock it in place. Put the thermostat in fist then the gasket top of that. Easy fit just bleed out the cooling system by letting the engine run with the expansion tank cap off until it gets to operating temperature.

As you know this is the genuine Ford brand. It is recommended to go with this Motorcraft thermostat as it opens more gradual and specifically how Ford designed it. Unfortunately this can be hard to find locally. Amazon had a couple of them in stock and I received my package fast HOWEVER, they sent an empty box... That is right, they sent me an empty thermostat box. So I hope your luck is better than mine.
