I inherited a 2003 Mach 1 that was having trouble maintaining idle when the A/C was on. So I read up on it and it seemed like this Idle Control Valve was a pretty common issue with that era of Mustang engines. I initially tried cleaning out the valve with some carb cleaner, but it didn't really resolve the issue.So I bit the bullet and dropped the bucks on this part. It was about the easiest part install I've ever done on a car, and it immediately fixed the idle issue I was having. It even comes with the gasket to make the install as fresh and clean as can be. Seriously, the install was easier than an oil change.

The picture of this IAC is not accurate, the wire connector comes out the back side of it not the side like the OEM part does. This makes the wire bundle hard to connect. It was a tough fit but with some force and flex into the wires I got it to sit just fine. '04 mach 1. Seems to be working good tho!>I have no issues with my current IAC other than its sticking open?and emitting a loud howling noise...thats it...no rough idle or anything**update** after a month runs like $#!+....rough idle, constant dieing at stopsGotta give it 1 star for inaccurate part and poor performance

Fixed my unstable idle issues on my 03 Mustang GT. Motorcraft is the only way to go for electrical parts on your Ford. All aftermarket parts will do is cause you issues down the road, this is a well known fact in the performance/enthusiast community.

I purchased one from my local auto parts store alot of these are aftermarket anyways i installed aftermarket one they sell from auto parts my car would never run rite. So I read up what was the problem people say only use motorcraft OEM . So I order this one as soon as I start car up ran as good as new.
