USB outlets for motorcycles are often/typically lumpy and take up a lot of bar space, but not this one!Moving the circuitry away from the bar, and into the bodywork of the bike makes for a super neat setup, and allows for a clean look on the bar. For reference I have this installed on a BMW F800GT (sadly without the heated grip option), which is fairly limited in bar space, but very suited to longer trips where my phone needs charging, and my USB-powered heated gloves will come in handy.Installation was a breeze - there's loads of cable on the power inlet side, meaning no need to add pigtails etc. The box with the circuitry in it fitted very neatly on top of my airbox, with enough cable up to the outlets to run a cable up each side of the triple tree to my handlebar. The included tipties are excellent quality, and trim neatly for a snag-free installation. Now to the best part - the outlets themselves. The two (I have the 2-outlet setup) USB outlets are very slick indeed, with hard covers (not rubber ones, which inevitably fail in the sun) which you just pull out and up to expose the USB-C port. So far weatherproofing seems excellent, and I have zero concerns about the durability of these ports - this is quality gear! Charging speed seems to be superb too - this is certainly way more capable than a regular USB-A outlet, easily outpacing my phone's usage while using it as a GPS device, bluetooth music streamer and phone. The ports are also more than capable of supplying power to my USB-powered heated gloves, which I modified from battery-powered to USB-capable. That means I've not only got a fully charged phone when I arrive, but my hands are warm enough to operate it too!Very much worth it, I highly recommend this USB setup - it's leagues better than my prior one, and the ports being so neat and minimalistic really keeps things clear in your cockpit.
