Quick Tips

Frothing

How to Use

  • Fill the jug approximately half way or slightly less with good quality cold milk. Milk straight from the fridge is ideal. Insert the steam wand below the surface of the milk and open the steam tap. Gently lower the pitcher until you start to 'foam' the milk by injecting volume into the milk. After a few seconds (how long will depend on how much steam your machine delivers) the volume of milk will increase. Before the milk reaches the top of the jug, raise the pitcher to immerse the steam wand into the milk. Position the pitcher so that the flow of steam creates a mixing action. Heat to your desired temperature, then shut off the steam before removing the pitcher. Now you are ready to create your caffe latte, cappuccino, flat white!!!

Care of your pitcher

  • Avoid overheating or scalding the milk
  • Rinse throughly after each use
  • To clean use soap and hot water or may be used placed in the dishwasher

250ml is great for one cap; 350 for two.

It weighs around 198 g, which is very good. But I regret the fact that I didn't get a bigger pitcher like you need a bigger pitcher to get a nice roll. It is very good quality . It is expensive.

Looking at other pitchers and buy this. This was my 5th or 6th pitcher i have purchased and its by far the highest quality. Super thick metal, unique design, and I love the small pitcher for frothing 4oz of milk.

This is the product you want. Don't buy the poor quality Chinese steel products from other brands. This has a great feel and is perfect for latte art.

Finally, I have a small size Motta (8.5 ounce) which can hold 3 to 4 oz of milk for just one cappuchino (at a time). It is great! And Motta is top quality in its design, though it certainly costs more than any of the other brands. I put this off for years, trying to put 4 to5 oz in a 12 oz container. Sorry I did not purchase it earlier.

this is made for 8 ounce or cappucino size cup milk pitcher. comes with original box when shipped. just letting other consumer know, motta stainless steel frothing pitcher is slightly thicker so you don't feel the heat as much compared to other brands, and due to it's unique shape the milk rotation is faster and easier.

Very good size (just right) for single 8oz drink of flat white or similar. Maybe a little too small if you like to have a lot of froth. Very good quality as you expect from Motta. If you are steaming for more than one drink or larger drink then defenitly should go for bigger pitcher as this is really for single 8oz drink.

This stainless pitcher is not the common stainless steel kitchen ware you're used to. It's made of 18/10 Inox (18% chromium and 10% nickel), for a real quality finish. It's also very thick. The shape is perfect for doing what they call latte art. I found the 8.5 oz rather small for my need since it's pretty much equivalent to a small glass. Some may prefer the 16 oz version.

This size pitcher is perfect for one drink. Before this I used a 12oz pitcher to make a 8 oz latte and I always had milk left over that would go down the drain. This pitcher eliminates the waste!A 12 oz pitcher is required to have 6 oz milk, this 8.5 oz pitcher will use 4 oz.The material is very high quality, thicker than the Rattleware pitchers, not by much though.
