Your cart is empty.A sustainable reimagining of our best-selling ultralight down hoody. Because a hoody is supposed to keep you warm (surprise—this one does!) but what about one that won't heat up the atmosphere? We think this flying space rock is pretty awesome, and because we want to keep Earth awesome, we made the Ghost Whisperer/2, which uses trash instead of making more. With completely recycled face fabric and responsibly sourced, RDS-certified down insulation, this layer brings the heat where it's supposed to.

This is an incredibly warm, responsibly sourced down jacket that is light weight and comfortable in 20-50 degree weather. It pack and compresses extremely well, making it great for layering on hikes or cold weather fishing. Combine this with a waterproof shell such as Patagonia’s Torrentshell and you have the perfect backpacking gear for the Pacific Northwest.

I bought the ghost whisperer after wearing a lighter synthetic ghost shadow for a few years. I really like to cut of the mountain hardware jackets, but I will say that armpit sleeves seem just a little high on the ghost whisperer. Provides great warmth and packability though so no real complaints.

Great superlight down jacket, packs small and is VERY warm; perfect any outdoor adventure (well, except for bushwhacking and heavy rain days).Make sure to choose 1 size above your normal, as Mountain Hardwear made this a TIGHT fit.

This jacket is incredible. It is unbelievably light weight and has a nice slim fit. The sheen on the fabric seems high quality when you look and touch it. I am 6'4" and I ordered a large which fits quite well. The downsides are minimal, but apparent. For one, the hood lacks adjustably. For me this isn't an issue as the hood fits well, but maybe for some this could be an issue. Also, the material is very thin, and while it's very strong, it could still tear easily with a pet nail or a tree branch. Just watch out if you get this jacket. While it is thin, I have taken it just about everywhere and never had it tear, but I am careful. The biggest downside is that it is not waterproof at all. Like if it gets wet, it smells bad and looses any warmth. This is similar for all down coats, but still I thought I would mention it.

This is an incredible jacket. Before deciding to purchase, I did extensive research. The biggest concerns I've seen are about warmth/insulation and durability. In my experience using it through several winter months, I have found no additional flaws or concerns.Regarding warmth, I've actually seen no issue whatsoever. This jacket is toasty! I've heard others say there are too many baffles, causing a greater likelihood for cold air incursion and therefore poor performance in extreme cold. This is never seemed to be an issue for me. I took the jacket to Antarctica and stayed plenty warm, though granted it was paired with two layers under and a windbreaker on top. This is not water or wind proof. It will make a great puffy for travel and hiking especially due to its light weight, which I measured at 8.2 oz for the Medium.Durability is my primary concern. The material is quite thin and I have only kept it rip free so far out of an abundance of caution. I try hard to avoid branches while hiking and I never let our cats or dogs come near it. Layered under another jacket, I'm less concerned.I got it at an excellent price during an Amazon holiday deal sale but would be totally willing to pay full price for it again.

My favorite super light packable jacket at the moment. I always have it in my backpack, I like to dress light, and the jacket saves the day all the time when it starts to get colder than I want it to.Quality is really good, I only found 2 loose threads, the zippers are very fine and light, but they work well, you just have to be gentle. The down is nice and fluffy and is well distributed. Love the green color. It fits like I expected it to from the sizing descriptions.

SUPER light and packable... fairly durable for how light and thin the material is

Owned for just over a month and worn no more than 20 times and pull cord broke for the waist. It came with a loose thread in the arm but I was willing to overlook it since I needed it for a trip but this is not acceptable. Would return if I could but it’s just over the return window :/ sad since I love the jacket but I should have listened to the reviews saying the quality has gone down hill.

I have owned a number of super light parkas. I am fussy about trail gear and have hiked my share of trails. I often keep my entire pack below 15 lbs for multi day trips so weight matters to me. This is my second Ghost Whisperer. The first on still survives but has a nasty tear that was my own fault. It had taken a beating but held up and lofted/looked great until I hung it on a finish nail and grabbed it carelessly. It is taped but it was time for a new one so I got one with a hood. I’m bald nowadays and just thought it might be time for that. The new one is a beauty. It survives New Hampshire and a vermont Winters and works well into the 20s F. Just layer up a bit and this is great. Fits in a super light rain shell like a champ. Only problem with these is the super small and frail zipper. No complaints as true ultralight gear usually lacks robust zippers.I just love these jackets. Treat yourself.

Came as expected. No defects. Well packaged. Warm. No damage. I don't mind the logo on the left side of the chest.I tried the jacket out in store before purchasing it so I know the size.
