I'm a fan of this MH and own several outer layers from them. MH never disappoints me- they understand outerwear. This is a packable, light windbreaker for day hikes, touring and keeping off light rain and drizzle. Yes it's thin. I tested its ability: I went out in a moderately windy night - with a lightweight cashmere sweater underneath. I tested it's windproof-ness by pulling up a sleeve, unzipping and walking into the wind then zipped back up. Yep - it's does what it says. Also- I got the hooded version. It is lightweight enough to roll inside the jacket and not be visible while adding a layer of neck protection. The gusseted sleeve panel that runs the length of the body all the way up and down to the sleeve allows for easy movement. This is for light layers underneath-true to size. If you are planning to wear heavy layers or have a larger chest, you may need to size up. For me- a small was good- 35/28/ 36 5'2"

Great fit. True to size (IMHO). Happy to have zippered pockets and a hood. I like the level of warmth it provides and wind resistance for being so light weight. Wonderful quality (although sharp puppy teeth tore a hole, being mouthy). I wear it often. Wonderful, lightweight layer.

I actually like this jacket. Would be great for summer Miskito protection. But the price is just not reasonable or honest, in my opinion. It’s as thin as tissue paper, at $130. !! This is beyond outrageous. I shall be returning it.

This little hoodie jacket is wonderful. I had stuffed it in the pocket of my fleece jacket. In Maui, when we were hiking, the wind picket up and I was able to grab it and wear it over my fleece. It was really wrinkled at first about after 10 minutes, it straightened out. This jacket kept me warm from the wind and the slight rain in the air.

I wish brands will have consistent sizing. I am usually a Medium in Mountain Hardware but this one runs a bit tight on the chest, so I gave it to my sister who is usually a size S. Otherwise, I like this jacket, especially the Teton Blue color. The material is very thin and soft and packable and yet gives warmth. It’s a little water resistant but that’s it. I ordered another of this in size L and hopefully that one will fit good. The item is at a discounted price but I don’t think I will buy it again if at full price. For reference, I am 5’1” and 149 lbs.
