Water Resistant
Water Resistant fabric has been treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) to repel water from the surface. This allows rain beads to roll off to keep the material as dry as possible, for as long as possible. Water Resistant items are ideal for light rain or limited exposure to heavier rain.
Warmth (-30C)
Laboratory tested to -30C. This material will help to keep the wearer is kept warm in sub-zero temperatures. (Please note that health and physical activity, exposure time and perspiration will affect performance and comfort.)
Lightweight
Lightweight fabric is perfect for activities such as hiking, walking or cycling. It provides a layer of protection without adding bulk.
The Difference Between Waterproof & Water Resistant Jackets
Shopping for a jacket can be confusing, with different terms and ratings used. Below is a simple guide to help you pick the perfect jacket:
Showerproof: The fabric is treated with a coating that resists water. These jackets are a great value-for-money option to keep you dry in light rain showers.
Water-Resistant: The fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating. This allows moisture to bead and roll off the surface. Ideal for light rain or limited exposure to heavier rain.
Waterproof: These fabrics can withstand heavier rainfall without letting moisture in. They will usually quote a lab-tested "hydrostatic head" rating, which measures the level of waterproofness. Higher ratings (5,000mm or 10,000mm) are the most waterproof, ideal for activities in wet or changeable conditions.
Taped Seams: A physical barrier preventing water from leaking through seams, stitching or joins in the fabric, making every inch of the garment waterproof.

I bought this because it had a pretty low price. It's been a mild winter so I've only been able to wear it a few times this year and when I have it's been very warm. Warmer than I expected. The water repellent coating used works well in the limited testing I've done (just spraying it with a the kitchen sink spray nozzle, so it did have a bit of pressure behind it, more than most rain would). A little thicker than some of the higher end jackets, but for around half the price it's worthwhile. And it will layer well with a fleece underneath and a hard shell above it for extremely cold days. Or just a hard shell on top for rainy days.

Very light basically thought the box was empty . Ordered XXL big and it fit like an xl small . Gave it away . Sizing is massive off .

Great jacket. Really worm, not as noisy as similar products. Fits good, personally ( 166 cm, 70 kg) I could have buy one size smaller but it still looks good.

only two external pockets (pocket is not deep).not even one pocket inside.no zippers on pockets.no drawstrings at the bottom.the threads are sticking out.

I like it. It is a fairly slim fit, so you might want to order a size up. At 5'8", 160lb, I got a Medium. If I wanted to wear bulky layers under it, or preferred a looser fit, a Large would be better, but I like the Medium.
